TGIF

Happy Friday, everybuddy! As usual, we'll start this Friday off with the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by our furiends over at 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader.

This week, our hosts came up with these creative fill-ins:
  1. My feelings get hurt when _________.
  2. I am excited about _________.
  3. _________ first, then _________.
  4. One time, I _________, that's why _________.
I had to stir up my creative juices out of their sludge state to come up with answers for these. I don't know how well I did, but here they are:
  1. My feelings get hurt when someone talks about me behind my back. (Honestly, whether they have good things or bad things to say, I'd really rather someone just say it to my face.)
  2. I am excited about The Secret Life of Pets. (You know, that adorable animated movie coming out in a couple of weeks? The one that will give us a look at what our furbabies do all day while we're gone? Yeah, that one. I think it looks so enlightening in the cutest of ways.)
  3. I always get up in the morning and feed my furbabies first, then I go about my own business. (I know my priorities, and I am well-trained.)
  4. One time, I got run over by another sledder while sledding down a snowy hill, that's why I gave up sledding. (I was only 4 years old and this memory still plays in my mind oh so vividly. I was sledding on my beloved blue sled, only to look over my shoulder just in time to see some teenagers in a giant cardboard box run me down. It was horrifying and humiliating, and my joy of sledding died that day.)
And now it's time for your weekly Eddy fix! She didn't want to pose for any pictures by herself this week. She was willing to pose with her big brother Evan, though, but only if she didn't have to look at the camera...

We had some rain (and I mean Noah's Ark kind of rain) this week. But, it's sunny now! We hope all of our furiends are enjoying some sunshine as well!

That's not all for this fun Friday, though. Because, now, it's time for me to announce the winner of the Smiling Paws Pets Cat Litter Mat that we reviewed last week. And so, without further ado, the lucky winner is...

a Rafflecopter giveaway
Concatulations to The Island Cats! Sorry, kitties, but no more litter art on the floor for you!

For those who didn't win the giveaway but who are still interested in acquiring one of these great litter mats, Smiling Paws Pets has so kindly granted my readers a 20% off discount voucher! The discount code is furballs20, and can be redeemed on their website.

Happy Friday!

Our Tip of the Day:
If you have to leave your furbaby home alone, whether it be for work or simply for a day or night out, there are plenty of things you can do to try and help your furbaby pass the alone time without getting bored or anxious. Be sure, for example, to leave your furbaby plenty of safe toys to keep them busy, as well as full bowls of food and fresh water. This way, your furbaby won't feel the need to fret about the availability of their basic necessities. And, of course, don't forget to leave them plenty of cozy places to snooze, which could include using your own clothing as a furbaby bed. And don't forget to leave them window views, because when all else fails, Squirrel TV is just about the best thing around! What's more, to help your furbaby feel at home even while you're away, leave a light on for them, especially if it will be growing dark before you return home. You can also leave a radio and/or television.on a low volume for a bit of comforting background noise for your furbaby to hear.

Those were such good fill ins. And what fun to see Eddy and Evan. Looks like they are enjoying bird TV or Squirrel TV. You all have a nice Friday.

Thank you for participating. I enjoyed your answers except for #4, that is so sad that someone ruined sledding for you at such a young age. I am excited about that movie too. I wish my great niece was older than 7 months so I could take her to see it. I am going to wait for the dvd. I think you are wonderful- I wish I could say it to your face, maybe someday we will meet :) Eddy looks adorable and so does Evan. Great tips for keeping kitties amused. I make my Mom stay with the kitties if we are going to be gone more than 1/2 hour- she keeps them busy-eating.

I can hardly wait for the Secret Life of Pets! I have been waiting for two years! I must say that I agree with you about people just telling me something to my face. I will be glad to hear what they say. Gossip and carrying tales never ends well. My first chore is FurKid care. Always. The coffee brews while I work. It is my reward. I am sorry about sledding. It is too bad you did not get back on the horse, so to speak. I Loved sledding, and wished I could have gone more! Thanks for joining in with Friendly Fill-Ins! Annie at ~McGuffy's Reader~

I absolutely cannot wait for that movie either! Having grown up in Southern California, I never did any sledding. That is such a shame what happened to you when you were so young and little! Your response is understandable.

Looks like Eddy is taking a page out of Annie's book by not looking at the camera. She's always cute, though. Those are great ideas to keep pets comforted and entertained while their owners are away.

Congratulations to the Island Cats on the win. What a great prize. Loved your answers to the questions.

Good answers! BTW, when I was in 1st grade, my sled went off-course & under a barb wire fence ... lots of blood in the top of my head + stitches ... I don't trust those things, either.

I am so sorry about your sledding accident. Those teenagers should have been careful of the little folks around them.

Is The Secret Life of Pets being released to theaters or straight to DVD? It sounds like a cute movie.

Have a blessed day!

This Secret Life of Pets sounds like a great movie. Speaking of kitty litter, our grand-doggers litter trained themselves. I did not know it was possible, but they did.

Those are good answers. I am sorry that sledding was ruined for you by some thoughtless teenagers. They probably thought it was funny. Those are sweet photos of Evan and Eddy.

Sorry about that, my computer is playing tricks on me and won't post, then posts when i don't want it to!

Being run over by a careless teen would sour almost anyone on sledding, i think; it's a shame some people are so rude.

Thanks for the reminders about leaving lights on for the cats, too. Sometimes i'm at work until after dark, and Sweetie is downstairs, and the upstairs cats only have the light from the bathroom window until one of us goes up there.

Great answer on #3. That movie Secret Life of Pets does look good. You don't want to be at Blogpaws if you don't want people talking behind your back. MOL!

We love your fill ins! Well, except for number 4 -- we're sorry that happened. :(

We're with you 100% on numbers one through three, though.

Yay for the Island Cats!
