Happy Friday!

As the title says, Happy Friday! It's almost the weekend, and that calls for something fun, like the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by our pals over at 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader.

Here are the fill-ins for this week:

1. Something healthy I do daily is _________.
2. Something unhealthy I do daily is _________.
3. This Summer, _________.
4. This Autumn, _________.

And here are my attempts at answering them:

1. Something healthy I do daily is pet and cuddle my furbabies.
(The pros say that spending quality time petting and snuggling with the furry cuties in your life is good for your heart and blood pressure and overall health, and I am more than happy to oblige.)

2. Something unhealthy I do daily is eat a huge bedtime snack.
(I can keep myself in line almost all day, eating fruits and veggies with every meal, not eating extra snacks, and rarely ever going back for seconds at meals. But then evening hits, and it's all over. Once I'm done with work and supper has settled and I've started on my evening relaxation, I tend to snack, snack, snack. And let me tell you, it's rarely fruits and veggies at this point. What's more, I have trouble giving myself a cutoff time, so sometimes I snack right up to bedtime, which those medical pros out there say is really not all that great for your health.)

3. This Summer, my parents added two adorable kittens to their household!
(I have not yet shared with you the two newest kitties that my parents rescued. That may or may not be due to the fact that they are well, kittens, and so they, well, aren't exactly pros at sitting still for the camera. But, you shall meet these two sweet little kitties soon! For anyone who has by some miracle been keeping track, my parents now have six cats. They're beating me in that arena. For now.)

4. This Autumn, I will go Halloween crazy like always.
(Second to Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love all things spooky and eerie, and the fact that this fun holiday falls in my favorite season is just an added plus. I probably decorate my home more for Halloween than any other holiday, including Christmas. And scary movies are indeed a favorite of mine. I also love handing out candy, especially to the little neighbor kids, for whom I always have a lot of fun making spooky little goodie bags. Perhaps I'm reliving my childhood vicariously through these unwitting kids, but I think I'm okay with that.)

Now, who's ready for an Eddy fix? Not Eddy, that's for sure. She couldn't manage to sit still for a single picture this week. She stayed sort of stationary long enough to eat at least once, during which time I snapped these winning shots:

We are wishing all of our furiends out there a fantastic Friday!

Our Tip of the Day:
Over time we've given a number of tips on some human foods that are healthy and some that are not healthy for your furbabies. We've of coursed talked about how those like chocolate and alcohol and even grapes and reaisins are a no-go for our furbabies, whereas those like carrots and apples and pumpkin can give your pup and even your cat a healthy boost. For today, I thought it would be nice to shine some light on a couple less common special human food treats that I don't think I've mentioned much on here before. So, did you know that an occasional snack of sweet potato can be healthy for the furbaby in your life, as it contains an ample amount of beneficial vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber? But, please do remove the skin and cook it first! And (although I myself am not a huge fan of feeding fish to my furbabies) cooked salmon is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which play a significant role in maintaining a healthy coat and skin. Remember, though, to never feed your furbaby raw fish! Another less common yet great occasional treat? Green beans, a great source of vitamins and fiber! Of course, as always, give your furbaby human food only in moderation please.

Oh we can't wait to see pictures of the kittens. What fun. Bet your parents are having fun with them.
Eddy, looks like you are enjoying that food. It is very hard to get cats to be still for any length of time.
You all have a great day.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers! I think that is wonderful that your folks rescued 2 kittens and are up to 6. I understand all about snacking, I usually have a sweet then need a salty then a sweet...
I notice I snack more when the tv is on, it must be those darn ads. I LOVE Halloween too, I have almost as many decorations for that as I do for Christmas. I hope you will post photos of some of your decorating. Have a great weekend!

Mum is trying to do your fill-ins today.
1. Something healthy we do daily - we always take at least one bath each
2. Something Unhealthy we do daily - Mum won't clean our teeth as we tend to give
3. This summer we have seen lots of lovely sunshine
4. This Autumn we hope it won't be cold and wet.

Great answers! We've already begun getting Halloween decorations out of the attic ;-)

Daily cuddles with the furbabies are definitely at the top of the list!

I'm guilty of late night snacking, too. I really need to stop!

Awwww! I look forward to seeing pics and reading more about the new furbabies! :)

I go crazy with general fall decorations, but have been incorporating some Halloween fun per the kids' request and input. Who knows? Maybe I'll embrace Halloween as much as I do Christmas! ;)

I love to snack! That's great about your parents adopting two kittens! Really wonderful! Can't wait to see pics! I bet the kids love coming to your house on Halloween. That's nice that you do that for them.

I love that last shot of Eddy!

Yippee for kittens! And for your parents taking in two more! Sweet Eddy, we'd never get tired of seeing your winning shots.

I look forward to seeing pictures of the new kitties. I bet they are sweet.

I'm miserable if I eat right before I lay down. There's just no getting comfortable if I lay down with a full tummy. I am bad about snacking more than I should and I think a lot of it is out of boredom.

The Eddy pics are cute, especially the last one. I see a little tongue peeking out. Is she a camera licker? :)

Have a great weekend!

Green beans, interesting. I wonder if my cats would like that. I, too, have a bedtime snack on occasion. :-)

I love your header; cute! Your answers are also great, as always. The pictures today make me think of Chloe Jo. She is not one to cooperate, either. Sweet, though!

Thank you for being a part of Friendly Fll-Ins. We enjoy you and appreciate your thoughts! Hugs. Annie at ~McGuffy's Reader~

Are we twins??? I feel the same way about Halloween, although Christmas is still #1 with me. And I'm the queen of bedtime snacks. Although I mostly chow down in order to stay awake to keep reading LOL!

Such a beautiful kitty. Love all the colors of her furs. Can't wait to see the kitten pictures.

I have the same problem with snacking at night! I make it all day and then the flood gates open and I eat everything in sight!

We don't usually get any human food. Maybe the odd piece of chicken. But we do get a rotating variety of rabbit, kangaroo, lamb and vegetables. Everyone likes Romaine lettuce except for Sam. Thanks for the tips.
