Mancat Monday: Door Dialogue

As most of you know, Evan loves his beloved front door. It offers so many wonderful sun puddles and views of the world beyond. But do you know what else it offers? Great conversation, obviously.

 "Say what?"

"You've got to be kitten me!"

That sure looks like a riveting conversation, Evan. Now, this mancat is curious, do any of his furiends out there like to converse with their favorite door?

To finish out this post, we have our drawing for this Day 10 of JNW's Halloween Challenge. The prompt is boo, and Evan thought that was purrfect for starring in another piece with his ghostly friends.

We hope your Monday is wonderful!

Our Tip of the Day:
Have you seen any of those videos in which people put objects such as cucumbers behind their unsuspecting kitties, only to have them turn around, see it, and nearly jump out of their skin? Today's tip is to please never play any such tricks on your furbabies. For many cats and dogs, setting them up for a scare will indeed trigger their instinctual fight or flight response. As I'm sure you all know, it is of course unkind to intentionally scare your furbaby, but it's also important that instincts such as the fight or flight response be reserved for genuine moments when it's truly needed. After all, it's important that we don't cry wolf!

  1. What did the door tell you, Evan? We don't talk to doors, but sometimes we stare at things people can't see, MOL!

  2. Evan, I talk to the door too...usually asking it to open so I can go out. It doesn't hear me, I guess. ~Wally

  3. Evan, that looks like such a good conversation that you are having with that door. We don't have conversations, we just push them open when we can. You are looking mighty good. Have a great day.

  8. Evan looks so cute chatting with his door friends for real and in the drawing. None of my cats do that. Excellent tip, I think that is so mean when people do that.

  10. Evan does look like he has found a great friend in that door. LOL!

I agree about those awful videos with cucumbers. Why would anyone want to scare their pets like that? Don't get it.

  11. I've seen real people do that cucumber thing and the cats don't get scared. I've never talked to a door or anything else except many a toy.
