Freckles!

It's not only Mancat Monday, but also just a couple days until St. Patrick's Day. Since mancat Evan is indeed a ginger boy, he wanted to show off just how Irish he looks.

Orange furs? Check.

Freckles? Yep!

Do any of our furiends have freckles? Around here, we love freckles! Even if you don't have freckles, though, you're still fantastic.

We hope everybuddy has a marvelous Monday!

Our Doodle of the Day:

(Our furiend Stunning CK pointed out to us that it is indeed 4-leaf clovers that are typically considered the lucky ones. For whatever reason, though, this strange human here has always liked the look of 3-leaf clovers better, so those have been making appearances in our Irish doodles. I know, we're such rebels.)

Our Tip of the Day:
Don't forget our recent tip that clover plants can be toxic to dogs and cats, as well as horses. This isn't the only St. Patrick's Day danger, though. Do of course remember to keep all alcohol out of your furbaby's reach, as consumption of it can lead to a medical emergency. In addition, in your festivities, be careful of decorations such as beaded necklaces, as those can be a choking hazard, as well as dangerous if caught around a furbaby's neck or even other areas of their body. Another potential danger are dyes, such as those to turn your hair green. These dyes can contain toxic chemicals, so do not put them on your furbaby, and also be careful if your furbaby shows interest in your hair if it is dyed. Feel free to have fun and celebrate St. Paddy's Day, but please do so with care and caution when around your furbaby!

  6. Evan is a cutie, I love those freckles. Sammy has freckles on his nose too. I like the 3-leaf clovers, those are what St. Patrick used to explain the Holy Trinity to the people of Ireland. Very cute drawing and as always, excellent tip.

  7. I love your new header! And yes, Evan is a cute ginger boy. I don't think we have any freckles in this house, but maybe there are a few under all our fur.

  9. no freckles at our house! When Mom was young, everyone thought she was Irish because of her hair color (her natural color used to be brown with red/gold highlights in the summer) and her green eyes...and Mom is Jewish...go figure. catchatwithcarenandcody

  13. Freckles are a trait of orange kitties just like humans with red hair usually have freckles. I have black nose. Who knew Paddy's Day was so toxic to cats. BTW, one year TW was celebrating with friends and they all had glasses of Bailey's on the table. She turned around to find Nicky up on the table with his nose in her Baileys. He was fine.
