We want to wish our furiends of the United States a very happy ‒ yet also safe and sound ‒ 4th of July! We are so very grateful for our freedom, for those who fought for that freedom, and for all that our country has to offer.
Happy 4th of July to our fellow Americans!
And to all of our furiends outside of the United States, a very happy Tuesday to you!
Our Tip of the Day:
There are potential ways to have a pet-friendly 4th of July. As most of you already know and perhaps already do, try putting on a patriotic movie, and turn it up to a volume that is safe and comfortable, yet loud enough to help drown out the fireworks outside. You can also play some patriotic music, and even simultaneously find a noiseless fireworks video or even screensaver to put on the TV or computer. Additionally, consider getting some fun yet safe confetti, or even simply some tissue paper, that is festively red, white, and blue. Many kitties and pups enjoy these quick and easy types of playthings, and it could serve not only as your own personal, safe fireworks, but also as a distraction from the booming fireworks outside. Or, as many of you most likely already know, you can raid the pet store for some new and fun patriotic toys in order to give your furbabies some new distractions on this loud holiday. And, if you're looking for some red, white, and blue treats to share, consider some healthy ones such as strawberries, apples, and blueberries. Some furbabies might still prefer to hide, and if so, it's often best to simply let them. If your furbaby is up for celebrating, though, it can be done in a fun and safe manner. Happy 4th of July!
