Happy Friday!

Happy Friday! Fridays are fantastic for so many reasons. Fridays mean the weekend is but a few hours away, so that's a definite plus. And what else do Fridays mean? The Friendly Fill-Ins challenge!

Our hosts for this fun Friday challenge are our good friends over at 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. We always look forward to the Fill-Ins, in large part because our hosts are so clever and think up such fantastic goodies for us, like these:

1. My inner child _________.
2. My favorite month is _________.
3. My favorite commercial is _________, because _________.
4. Personally, I don't care for _________.

Here's what I came up with:

1. My inner child comes out to play every single day.
(Some days, I feel like I never grew up. I love watching animated films, reading my favorite childhood books, and even testing out some of my childhood toys that I still have. I sort of feel like Peter Pan, and I don't know if I'll ever grow up.)

2. My favorite month is October.
(I love Autumn, and I love Halloween, so that about explains it.)

3. My favorite commercial is/are the "Dear Kitten" series of commercials by Friskies, because cats rock.
(I don't buy much Friskies, probably at least in part due to the fact that my kitties won't touch the stuff. But, that's beside the point. Seriously, have you seen the "Dear Kitten" Friskies videos? They're funny and full of furry cuteness, and apparently that's all it takes to please me.)

4. Personally, I don't care for coffee.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I'm in a vast minority here. I am just about the only person in my family, the only person at my work place, and the only person amongst most of the acquaintances I make who does not like coffee. I have tried coffee in just about every variety, because I don't want to knock it if I haven't tried it. But, be it black coffee or coffee drowning in chocolate and caramel and sugar and cream, I just can't make myself enjoy a cup of joe.)

Now, who's ready for Eddy?

She's here today to show you something so very sad.

That up there, that's the closet. And her toys keep disappearing beneath its door. The rotten closet is a rotten thief.

So close, yet so far away.

We hope you all have a fun and fantastic Friday! Eddy and all of us here hope your toys don't play hide-and-seek with you!

Our Tip of the Day:
Do you have any cat toy graveyards in your house? Under the couch? Beneath the bed? Inside those thieving closets? Though sometimes it takes some innovation, there are ways to help combat this saddening loss of toys. You could try the simple trick of placing a rolled towel or old shirt in front of or beneath the black hole (aka, at the base of the couch or the gap beneath a closet door). This can help to block toys' entrance into the dark vastness on the other side. Other items, such as empty paper towel or toilet paper rolls, or even draft shields that can be purchased at the store, can also be used to block the gap at the base of closet doors or or couches so that no toys could be lost to the other side. If prevention is not always possible, then consider having handy a yard stick or other similar item for the removal of toys from beneath couches and beds.

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Our first 2 answers were practically the same :) I haven't seen the Friskies commercials, I will look them up on youtube. And, yes you are in the minority with coffee, but to each her own. :) I love coffee and drink it all day ( I switch to decaf after noon). Adorable photos of Eddy, I want to snorgle that tummy. Very cute drawing. And that is a great ide, I never thought to block the spot that eats the toys. We have several toy eating areas around here.

I like your way of thinking...except about coffee. I need it in the mornings. I just do. *sigh* Have a great weekend! Hugs.

Eddy, I'd be sad too, but maybe if you didn't push them UNDER...then the closet wouldn't eat them...hmmm?!? LOL!
1. My inner child doesn't like the old person she's housed in anymore!
2. My favorite month is any summertime, warm-weather month.
3. My favorite commercial is the lady who invites a raccoon inside instead of her cat because she isn't wearing her glasses, because it's funny!
4. Personally, I don't care for many popular TV shows.

I love the "Dear Kitten" commercials too - they all crack me up. If I'm having a bad day, it always helps to view a couple. I'm with you on coffee too. Nope. In college, I only tried it once - no matter how badly I needed it - and that was it. I've had it a couple times since (in 20 years) and the only way I'll even consider it is if it's mostly milk or sugar. Yuck. Poor Eddy. Though you might've found the perfect time to photograph her staying in one place ;)

I hope you make your human fish those toys out for you, Eddy! I love those Dear Kitten commercials too. I guess the only way we differ is on the topic of coffee...I'm an addict!

I don't know that you are in the minority by not liking coffee. It seems that there are many out there who don't. Suzanne loves the smell but doesn't like the taste. I like a good cup of cowboy coffee, that really strong stuff that has been on the fire all day long. Have a great week.

Hmm...(1) My inner child is a problem (2) My favorite month is October (fall colors), (3) Budweiser Lost Dog 2015 Super Bowl commercial because we love puppies and horses (4) Personally I don't care for people who are mean to animals

I like those Dear Kitten ads a lot. TW thinks one of her fave ads is the Budweiser one after 9/11 which always makes her cry. Pop doesn't like coffee but loves the smell. TW OTOH loves it.

Great pictures of you Eddy trying to figure out how to get that toy. The fill-ins were terrific. You all have a super day.

Eddy! You gotta give that closet what for!

And we can see your inner child in every drawing you post. :)

Our refrigerator was always the toy swallower, as Fiona loved batting them beneath there and then trying to figure out how to get them back out. Sadly, that doesn't happen anymore. Our mom dislikes coffee as well, except for coffee ice cream (as long as it isn't too strong). Our dad LOVES coffee. Mom doesn't even like kissing him after he's been drinking it. Our dad says that you never have to grow up if you don't have children, which is why he never has. That is the purrfect doodle. It is the little things that count. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

My toys are always disappearing, too, mostly because I don't remember where I put them. Funsies! I'm sorry the closet keeps stealing your toys, Eddy.

"Enjoy the little things" is such a sweet image!

I don't like coffee either. I love to smell it because the smell is wonderful, but I don't like to drink it. ICK!

We enjoy animated films, too. Our favorite at the moment is both 1 and 2 of the Hotel Transylvania series. We heard there will be a 3, but we don't know when.

Have a blessed evening.
