Our Tip of the Day:
In case you're interested in getting your furbaby an extra special treat, such as for their birthday, there are places that make pet-friendly cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and the like. Just one example is Canine Cupcakes, where you can purchase homemade cupcakes for your pup. (We are not endorsing Canine Cupcakes, but are instead just giving a yummy example!) There are numerous other such vendors who sell similar treats for pups and kitties alike, but of course do always be sure to check their ingredient lists to ensure that their goods do not contain any potentially dangerous ingredients. Of course, you can also make your own special treats. Whether you buy them or make them, though, look for safe base ingredients, such as pumpkin and peanut butter. If grains are listed, try to make sure they are something along the lines of oats or brown rice rather than refined grains. And if the treat is sweetened, to try ensure that a natural source of sugar is used, rather than refined sugar, and that it is not used in large quantities. While of course a healthy, balanced diet is crucial for our furbabies, a safe and fun treat can often be enjoyed on special occasions. Just be sure to do your research!
