Thoroughly Poetic Thankful Thimble Thursday

Hello, everybuddy! We hope you all have been having a wonderful week so far. We sure have. One reason is that we all love autumn around here, and this stupendous season is starting to make an appearance here. The air is cool and crisp, windows have been open, and we are all loving it!

In other news, it's time for the Thoroughly Poetic Thursday challenge, hosted by Angel Sammy and Teddy!

We have really, truly been enjoying this challenge each week. This here human is far from a poet and never really practiced this form of writing before starting on this challenge. Now, though, we are really having fun with it!

This week we're of course continuing with our usual poetic theme. That means we have someone to introduce to you today...

Mudpie the Magician

There is magic in everyone.
Who knows this better than anyone?
Mudpie the Magician, that’s who!
When it comes to magic, there is nothing she can’t do.
Mudpie the Magician has more than one trick up her sleeve.
She can make even a cynic believe.

Oh, are you in need of a kerchief?
Mudpie will pull one from your pocket, what a relief!
Or she could pull a kerchief from your nose.
That’s always a favorite at her shows.

Now, would you care to pick a card from this deck?
Mudpie will find it in less than a sec.
My goodness, there’s a rabbit in Mudpie’s hat.
Me oh my, look at that!
But those tricks are just the beginning.
Mudpie’s full show will really have you grinning.

So, tell us, what would you like to see?
Mudpie’s magic can evoke boundless glee.
Perhaps you’d like Mupdie to whip out her wand,
And summon those stars up above and beyond?
Such a lovely light show that can make.
After all, Mudpie the Magician is certainly no fake.

You can visit the fantastic, real-life Mudpie by clicking on her name there! (By the way, isn't Mudpie such an adorable name? We love it!) And of course here is Mudpie the Magician's little doodle.

Now, of course, it's Thimble's turn to let you know what she's been up to. As we mentioned a bit earlier in this post, we've been having us some lovely autumn weather. For Thimble, cool and crsip weather means some extra frisky playtime and, of course, window whiffies!

Can you guess what Thimble is entering into Brian's Thankful Thimble Thursday Blog Hop?

Those window whiffies, of course! Thimble is very grateful for open windows on these lovely days. We're all thankful for autumn, our favorite season. Of course, we're also so very thankful for so much else in our life, including our family and friends, like all of you!

Our Tip of the Day:
We have one more tip to share regarding how to minimize allergens in the home, especially if your furbaby or yourself are known to have allergies and asthma. Allergens can exist year round, in any season, so a regular schedule for cleaning can help prevent a build-up of allergens in the home. Cleaning may not always be the funnest thing to do, but, as we've mentioned, allergens can be introduced into the home through open windows and doors, on our clothes, and of course on our feet and those of our furbabies. For this reason, regular dusting and vacuuming can really help to keep those allergen invaders at bay. It is also beneficial to regularly launder bedding as well as other blankets and pillows throughout the home, both yours and your furbaby's. This not only helps eliminate the outdoor allergens that enter the home, but also dander and the like. So, while cleaning of course may not be the most fun chore, it can help both you and your furbaby breathe easier!

It's been really cool here too. Almost too cool...that we can't have the windows open. We love your poem about Mudpie...we'd like to see her work some magic. :)

That is such a cute poem and drawing for miss Mudpie. Thimble does look quite pleased with her window.Excellent tip even if vacuuming is one of my least favorite activities. :)

What a terrific poem for the precious Mudpie. She and Mom Melissa are going to love it! Mom asked us to tell you that was the "famous" Chris on yesterday's blog. If you slowly roll over our photos with your curser, you will 90 % of the time find info about that photo. Those were in place yesterday. Thimble, fall has come here early. Only 50 degrees this morning. We expect this won't last, however. Enjoy your whiffies. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
