Evan hopes that did the trick.
Happy Monday, everybuddy!

Our Tip of the Day:Is your cat a water spiller? Some cats paw or dig at their water bowl for various reasons, such as to create the effect of fresh or moving water, or to mimic the behavior of kittens pawing at their mama cat to stimulate milk at feeding time. If your cat does paw or dig at the water bowl in this manner, there are potential solutions you can employ to try and combat the waterlogged conditions your kitty creates. You can do something as simple as placing a mat beneath the water bowl. There are a number of options for pet place mats out there, including some that are specifically designed to trap spilled water and keep it contained. You can also try getting a weighted and/or skid-proof water bowl, so that your kitty won't as easily be able to move the bowl and spill the water within. There are also bowl stands on the market specifically designed to catch loose water and drain it into an underlying pan that can be removed and emptied. You can also experiment with different water station setups, such by setting up a water fountain rather than a bowl, to see if this decreases your kitty's desire to dig at and spill their water.
My cats drink from a number of bowls round our home.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Evan!
ReplyDeleteThanks Evan! That surely did do the trick! Happy Monday to you.
ReplyDeleteSeeing you always cheers us up, Evan!!! You made our day <3
ReplyDeleteWe know you didn't know her, but our angel Jewel would sit at her fountain and scoop water up with her paw and drink it from her paw! The mom thought it was just too adorable.
You are a cutie Evan. Those are great sunny shots.Polar Bear and his wives used to spill their water all the time so they have a large weighted dish now. I also have a glass bowl inside of a stainless bowl in another area of the house that prevents spilling and they also have a fountain.

Oooo, those great photos did brighten up our Monday! Thanks for your water tips! Our Mom did all three - water-catch mat, weighted bowl, and a fountain, and now, we're all having fun! *wink*
ReplyDeleteI had thought that my cats sloshed water just to hurt and frustrate me, so it’s good to be straightened out about this! I had also never heard the world mancat, and had been calling my two guys pussy-men. Quite frankly, I don’t think they care what they’re called as long as their three squares a day and their midnight snack are on time, which they almost always are.
ReplyDeleteMeowllo handsum, hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
