Our Tip of the Day:

The eye is a vulnerable part of the body, in both our furbabies and ourselves. This is why scratches or other injuries to the eye are not all that uncommon in our furbabies, even if they are simply obtained during playtime. Especially in a multi-cat household, for example, play time can sometimes involve claws, which can sometimes result in a kitty with a corneal abrasion. This is why, if you see your kitty squinting one eye, and/or discharge coming from the eye, it is important to monitor it and of course consult a veterinarian as needed. Some such injuries to the eye require antibiotic drops or ointment, or other types of treatments. The eyes are incredibly important, as you certainly know, so never hesitate to have a potential injury to the eye examined by a veterinarian so that it can be tended to promptly and properly.
