Kooky Caturday Art with the Letter O

Happy Caturday, friends! Speaking of Caturday, our doodle for today's Caturday Art Blog Hop is of course another one of our A to Z Challenge installments.

Our A to Z theme of halfway to Halloween, or Halfoween, is just getting weirder and wackier by the day. Today, for the letter O, we threw into our spooky springtime doodle a makeshift shrine for October. Rosie, as always, is appalled at what I'm doing to the month of April.

We hope your day is far less confusing than Rosie's!

Trivia of the Day

The skull in today's doodle led us to some trivia about none other than a cat's brain. Did you know that, structurally speaking, a cat's brain is more complex than a dog's brain? The cerebral cortex is the part of the brain that is responsible for a great many functions of the mind and body, including high level cognitive abilities such as thought and memory. That said, a cat's cerebral cortex has roughly 300 million nerve cells, while a dog's only 160 million nerve cells. Our cats are smart creatures, so let's give them credit for that.
