Caturday at the Cottage

Drawing buildings is not my strong suit, but for some reason I regularly find myself eager to doodle up scenes involving cottage-like, Victorian-esque houses. Obviously, nothing goes better with this sort of setting than a handful of cats. And as they say, a house is not a home without cats.

Did you know that there are more pet cats in the United States than there are pet dogs? Recent statistics indicate that there are approximately 94 million cats in U.S. homes, and roughly 90 million dogs in U.S. homes. That being said, a higher percentage of households have dogs when compared to households with cats. This is because cat owners are more likely to have multiple cats in the home, whereas dog owners are more likely to have only one dog. They do say cats are like potato chips, because it's hard to stop at just one!
