A Canine and Her Christmas Cookie

We've mentioned before how one of our local pet stores sells cookies for dogs. Astrid loves these cookies, and she usually gets one of these cookies each week. We recently stocked up on the Christmas and winter cookies, as they always sell out fast.

Astrid says it's downright abusive that she has to pose with her cookie before she can eat it. Isn't this just horrible?

Despite what Astrid might tell you, she never has to wait all that long for her cookie.

Have a fun and festive day, friends!

Doodle of the Day

Today we have for you the first doodle in our newest series of Christmas drawings. These doodles are slightly inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I guess they're most especially inspired by that general era, though, to be more specific. So, here's the first one.

As you may or may not be able to tell, this kitty and his human are out and about in something along the lines of historic London, just doing some typical Christmas shopping. This series of doodles will continue to take you through this duo's quaint Christmas preparations. The kitty will be the main star of the remaining doodles in this series. After all, nothing says Christmas like a kitty in a Dickensian setting, right?

Tip of the Day

In a previous tip, we mentioned being cautious with ribbon usage on gifts this time of year, due to the potential hazards they pose. Along this same line of thought, also be careful with gift wrapping tools. For example, scissors and tape can also pose risks. Scissors can obviously cause injury if left open and unattended, and tape can potentially cause blockages if consumed. This time of year many of us are focused on the fun and festivities, but also be sure that you take into account all surroundings and how they might affect the furbabies in your life.

  1. How nice of you to pose with your cookie, Astrid, before eating it up. We bet it was tasty.

  5. Astrid, you'd never catch a kitty waiting like that!
Tape...Manny LURVs tape! Any box that arrives, has it's packing tape chewed and peeled...if we don't pull it off ourselves first. He's quick, but luckily, he doesn't eat the stuff. However, we are very careful anyhow.

  6. Astrid, you are precious, and i know, even one second is too long to wait for a dog. It's okay, though, you always get it in the end.
