I mentioned once before that just as writing helps me to cope, so does art. On days that the loss of my sweet Rosie weighs heaviest on me, putting my thoughts into writing, such as here on this blog, is a very cathartic process for me. And so is creating art in honor of my Rosie. That being said, last Thursday I made a post about bringing home my Rosie's remains. That was such a surreal, bittersweet day for me, and when I got home with my sweet old girl's remains I immediately felt compelled to draw in her honor. I wasn't sure at first if I was going to share that resulting art here, but I now feel compelled to do so.
For my angel Rosie, forever loved. |
Have a blessed day.

We all know how hard it is to lose a beloved companion/friend who has been with you for many years. I still think about my "before" cats and remember their little ways of making me smile.

I love, love, love this drawing! I love the style, the look of dear Rosie, the colors, and the hearts. I wish I could draw like this!
That's a beautiful way to express your love and help to heal. Thank you for sharing. Hugs to help you heal a little more.
That's beautiful. What a wonderful way to honor and remember your sweet Rosie, and to do something that is good for you, too. Hugs and headbonks to you, from all of us. :)
I am so sorry I just found you and didn't know you when Rosie passed. I know the pain of losing a beloved kitty and my heart goes out to you. Your artwork is a beautiful tribute. Love, Caren and Cody from www.catchatwithcarenandcody.com
