Rest in peace, my sweet Rosie.

This post pains me to write.

After a sudden, harrowing onset of severe lethargy and rapid, open-mouthed breathing this morning, Rosie was rushed to the emergency clinic at the local university, where imaging revealed congestive heart failure alongside advanced signs of probable cancer of the pancreas, spleen, liver, and intestines. I made the difficult decision to help Rosie cross the Rainbow Bridge. I stayed by her side until the very end, making sure that she knew just how precious she has always been and always will be to me and my entire family.

I love and miss my sweet, tough old gal more than words could ever describe, but I am grateful that she is now free of all pain and ailments.

My sweet Rosie, you are and will be loved forever and always. Thank you for 21 wonderful, loving years by my side. You will always be my beautiful, sweeter than sugar, one tough cookie of a girl. Rest in peace, my precious baby girl.
Thank you for all of your purrs, prayers, and support. They have meant so much to me and my sweet Rosie.

Please excuse me if I am absent from this blog for a period of time as I grieve yet also celebrate the life of my precious baby girl Rosie.

I'm so very sorry and I'm so sad. I've come to really love Rosie and I was rooting for her. You made the best decision for her clearly. I'm sorry for all the advice. Her situation reminded me so much of my two senior kitties that we lost in 2013 and I just felt desperate to help, maybe partly reliving my own situations.

What a great life Rosie had with you! Take comfort in knowing that she of course knew how loved she was.

Hugs to you.

Thank you so very much for all of your kind support throughout all of this, for both myself and my sweet Rosie. I cannot express how much I appreciate it. And you have no need to apologize for any of the advice you gave, as I was just as desperate to find any possible answers and solutions for my sweetheart Rosie throughout all of this.

Rosie was truly one of the sweetest, most beautiful, toughest furbabies I have ever had the pleasure of having as a loyal companion. I miss her terribly, but I am so grateful to have had 21 (and a half) wonderful years to love and care for her, and she will always be loved.

Thank you again.

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beautiful Rosie. 21 years together is absolutely incredible, but no longer how long we have with them it's never enough. I lost my Angel Tara almost two years ago to CHF and a splenic mass. Sending gentle purrs of comfort and love your way.

We did not know Rosie but we understand how difficult it must be for you. We just lost our Phantom, a 16 year old Siberian Husky. 21 is an amazing life, and the love that your words show tell us that it was a life filled with love and happiness. Soft woos and gentle hugs from all of us.

Just us again, checking in on you, and bringing more gentle purrs and prayers. Our friend Ann, from Zoolatry, created a lovely remembrance badge for your beloved Rosie. We realized we don't know how to reach you, other than by leaving a comment here, so we wanted to let you know the badge is posted at the Cat Blogosphere, if you'd like to pick it up: http://blog.catblogosphere.com/2015/05/08/rest-in-peace-rosie/

We are stopping by to send you come comforting purrs on the loss of your sweet girl Rosie. She was quite a beauty (and I am a ManCat with an eye for the pretty LadyCats). My Human says a kitty does not get to be 21 unless she was loved excellently well by a Human who was devoted to her well-being, so we think you did a wonderful job of caring for her and giving her a great kitty life. XOXOXOXO

I just heard about Rosie's crossing over The Rainbow Bridge. I know your heartache as my beloved first cat Frutty was with me 17 1/2 years: a lifetime. I can only send you comforting hugs and I'm sorry you have to go through this heartache.

Thank you so much for the care and compassion you've shown me and my precious Rosie. I miss her immensely, but I am so grateful for the wonderful years and love I was blessed to share with her, and I am grateful that she is now able to run young and free. I will forever love and hold dear to my heart my sweet girl Rosie.

And thank you for letting me know about the Cat Blogosphere and the beautiful badge created for my beautiful old gal. I would love to join and participate in the Cat Blogosphere, but the only hold up is that I am admittedly technologically inept and have not succeeded in figuring out how to use the Cat Blogosphere. Are you able to assist me in this? I would love to join and participate in this wonderful Cat Blogosphere so that I might better interact with all those who have been sending me such an outpouring of love and support during this time.

Thank you again, meowmeowmans. Your kindness is truly appreciated.

Of course! The CB is such a wonderful and caring community of cat bloggers, and it everyone is welcome. I will be happy to help get you up and running. The first thing you should do is share whenever you have new posts on your blog. Each day, the posts on the CB include the daily "Linkies." (The post will say something like "Friday Linkies" or "Saturday Linkies," or something to that effect.) When you feel up to it, you can email me at kthattori (AT) gmail DOT com, and I will do my best to explain (it will be easier that way, as I will be able to include screen grabs to help illustrate). No rush. Be well. - Kevin (meowmeowmans)
