Last week, our poem was inspired by our host Angel Sammy. Now we're moving on to the letter T, and since Sammy's little brother Teddy is an inspiration as well, we have this to share:
Teddy the Teacher
Wisdom and knowledge,
These can be gained whether in preschool or college.
But there is one most important piece to this puzzle,
And that is the teacher who plants seeds in minds,
Like a gardener with a shovel,
Who can nurture blooms of all kinds.
Teddy the Teacher is just one of many,
Yet his worth is far more than that of a penny.
His pupils he guides on their path,
Whether it be in history, spelling, or math.
Teddy the Teacher can give lessons on microbes,
And can even teach you the continents of the globe.
Young or old,
Students need teachers to expand their minds tenfold.
Whether they learn fast or learn slow,
Students need teachers like Teddy in order to grow.
Teddy the Teacher may be one of many,
But without teachers like him we students would be lacking plenty.
Do be sure to visit the real Teddy! And of course we didn't forget to doodle a little something up for Teddy the Teacher.
One last thing with regards to poetry. We're wondering if any of you can help us with a couple of the upcoming weeks of the Thoroughly Poetic Challenge? You see, perhaps this silly human's mind is just having a brain fart, but we need a little assistance with the upcoming letters U and X. As you've probably noticed by now, we quite like to use you blogging friends of ours as inspiration for our poems. But, we can't seem to conjure up any blogging buddies with names that begin with U or X. We hope we're not just being silly and forgetting any of you. If we are, though, please let us know! We have a couple of ideas in the case that no U or X can be found, but we sure would like to know what you all have to say first. Thank you, friends!
And now it is Thimble's turn to star in this Thursday post.
One of Thimble's favorite things to do is help her momma doodle up some art. Actually, though, that's not what was really going on in that picture up there. This here human was trying to photograph those there doodles in order to share them with you here on our blog. When Thimble hears the camera, though, she simply has to be involved. After all, she is a model.
Are any of our friends out there like Thimble? Do you love to
Today, Thimble is sharing her gratitude for the camera and for her supremely photogenic face for Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
All of us here are thankful for all of the blessings in our lives. We are thankful that our pup Astrid was deemed cancer-free this week. We are thankful to have each other, to have the safety of a warm home, to have food in our bowls, and to have loving family and friends like all of you.
Happy Thursday to all of you wonderful friends of ours!

Our Tip of the Day:
Are you interested in giving your furbaby a fun little "candy" or "chocolate" treat, such as for Halloween? One safe option is to look for treats made with carob. You can also obtain carob and make your own treats for your pup or even your kitty. This is because carob is an alternative to cocoa and chocolate that is safe for dogs and cats. It has a taste and appearance more or less comparable to chocolate, but does not contain theobromine, the component of cocoa and chocolate that is toxic to dogs and cats. That means carob can allow your furbaby, such as pups who have a sweet tooth, to have a special yet safe treat.

Lola is definitely the camera hog... errr. model around here. We're not very good at poetry, but for X you could use Xray and say something about an xray of your heart would show how much love you have for someone. OK, that's corny, sorry.
Love,
Lexy.
That is one terrific poem. That is so true about teachers. Don't have any ideas about the letters. Hi there Thimble, you are looking mighty good. Have a super day.
We love the poem about Teddy. And because he's always taking us to school on Teaser Tuesday...it's purrfect!
Thimble, we always love seeing your cute face.
Aww, Teddy! Great poem about him.
Am wracking my brain for any blogger with U or X...I've got nuthin'. If I run across anything, I'll let you know!
Thimble, you have a cute name and are a cutie even if you are a 'model'!
We sure enjoyed that poem and your sweet face pretty Thimble. We are so happy to hear the great Astrid news. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
We again want to say how happy we are that Astrid is cancer free! That is a wonderful poem about Teddy. We can’t think of any kitties that have names that start with X or U. Thimble is the prettiest model. Unfortunately, there are no camera hogs here.
There is indeed a lot for which to be thankful!
What a lovely poem about Teddy ! Purrs
Thank you so much for the Teddy the Teacher poem and allowing me to be your inspiration - we just LOVE the doodle - it looks JUST LIKE ME!!!!! I do enjoy being Angel Sammy's Assistant Professor on Tuesday Teasers so this is just perfect. Thimble's picture is adorable - she's just adorable in EVERY photo of her....Also we were as happy as happy could be about Astrid's surgery outcome. Hope she's healing up lickity split and all is well with EVERYONE there. We don't know ANY "U" or "X" bloggers either! So sorry.....wish we did.
Love, Teddy and Mom too
Yippee...hooray, paws up for Astrid! That's such wonderful news. Thimble, Mauricio is the model at our house. He cannot resist having his photo snapped. Really, he's more like a ham than a model. There is a "Xena Cat" on Facebook. We don't know her, though. Terrific Teddy poem. He has three poems today, as Cooper mentioned him in his poem. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
That is an excellent poem for sweet Teddy. And I love the drawing too. I need to think about U and X, I follow a lot of blogs, but can't think of any right now. Thimble is the perfect little model. Great tip too, I didn't realize you could give carob to cats too.
Teddy makes an adorable teacher! I'm stumped on U and X too :( Good luck with those!
I hate the camera. Thimble can model in my stead if she wants. Too bad there's no Xena the Warrior Kitty. MOL! Maybe one of the foreign kitties?
There are many ways to be a "gardener". Sometimes with plants and sometimes with young minds...
Of X and U No kitties here, but we have Y covered times 2. Although in a pinch Chimera could handle X for U. As X = Chi. Originally the X was not an X as we use it in the English alphabet; it was the Greek letter chi which looks very similar to an X. So just for U X-mera will make a debut.
