Soaking up the Sun

Cold thought it may be, on this Thankful Thursday my furbabies are grateful for the sunshine we've been having lately. There's nothing like sitting by a window and basking in those sun rays.
Who doesn't love some good ol' squirrel supervising in the sun? Even Astrid's chew bone joined her for this sunbathing!
Evan loves sleeping on his mommy's bed, rain or shine. But, shine is obviously much better..
The sun is so pretty, sometimes Thimble just can't help but stare up at it. (Note: not recommended.)
A nice, cozy sun puddle can even tame my active little Eddy. She nearly got lost in this one.
Our housemate Toby joined in on the sunny times, too:
Sometimes, Toby turns blue in the sunlight!
I hope all of our furiends out there are getting their turns with the sun as well! Happy Thursday!

A Merry Christmas Recap

First of all, thank you all for reading and commenting on my boy Evan's story featured on The Daily Pip yesterday! The post is so wonderful, and so are all of your comments!

Now, today is the Twelfth (and therefore final) Day of Christmas. As one last festive hoorah, I thought I'd share a little recap of our Christmas season.

Our Christmas tree went up the day after Thanksgiving,
and an ornament was immediately crafted and hung for Angel Rosie.
The kitties (especially one little girl named Eddy) discovered their calling as tree terrorists.
So a new cat tree was gifted as an early Christmas present, in hopes of giving the kitties something to turn their attention to besides the poor traumatized Christmas tree.
This new cat tree was selected especially with my boy Evan's special needs in mind, and for the first time ever he climbed to the top of a cat tree all by himself!
We spent the Christmas season dressed festively,
 and baking festive goodies,
and taking Christmas photos by the tree.
And then the big day was here, and the furbabies had their way with new toys,
and got warm new blankies from their gammy!
 We visited our festive family,
and gave them their Christmas gifts.
But that was just the beginning, as we still had the Twelve Days of Christmas to enjoy the Christmas spirit in the continued company of our Christmas tree.
We continued to listen to Christmas music, and on each day I decided to stay festive by creating a piece of Christmasy art.

And that brings us to today, the Twelfth Day of Christmas! So, I'll now share my final piece of Christmas art for these Twelve Days of Christmas. I started out these art pieces with one of my sweet angel Rosie, and of course I'll end it the same way.
Merry Twelfth Day of Christmas! We hope all of our furiends and friends out there had a very merry, blessed Christmas season!

Mancat Monday

What a purrfect Mancat Monday this is. A couple weeks ago, a wonderful series of posts called The Specials was created over at The Daily Pip. In this series, each Monday a special needs animal is featured. I'm very excited to announce that today's The Specials post features my boy Evan!
You can read the pawesome post featuring Evan by clicking here!

On another quick note, the Twelve Days of Christmas will be coming to an end this week. My furbabies and I will miss the holiday and its festivities when it's over, but for now we're still making the most of our Christmas spirit.
Merry Eleventh Day of Christmas!

Sunday Selfies

By some miracle, all of the furbabies in the house stopped long enough for selfies this week! So, here are our selfies for this week's Sunday Selfie blog hop, hosted by the always pawesome The Cat on My Head:
Evan went for one of his typical snoozie, snuggly selfies - both his and my favorite!
Usually active Eddy also went for a snoozie selfie. (Yes, she is asleep here. Remember - she has facial nerve paralysis of the right side, so she always sleeps with one eye open. I think it's adorable!)
My girl Thimble tried to stay awake for her selfie, and almost succeeded.
Astrid multi-tasked for her selfie, relaxing while also keeping watch at the window. Gotta keep an eye on those pesky squirrels!
Our housemate Toby was also keeping watch at the window. He's just certain that one of these days he'll catch one of those squirrels.
It's cold outside, so I think my furbabies have the right idea with their snuggly, snoozie, relaxing selfies here inside where it's warm.

Call me crazy, but this cold weather has me in the mood for some snow. Even just some flurries and a dusting would make me happy. After all, here in the Midwest we haven't had snow since before Thanksgiving, and that just feels strange to me. I guess for now I'll just have to settle with creating my own snow.
Merry Tenth Day of Christmas, everybuddy!

Christmas Cookie Caturday Art

For today's Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by pawesome Athena and Marie, my furbabies and I wanted to give a shout-out to all of our leftover Christmas cookies and candy. We'll surely be eating them until next Christmas.
Merry Ninth Day of Christmas, everybuddy! And Happy 2016!
