My arts and crafts time usually ends something like this, with an excited blur of belly rolls and pens and pencils flying everywhere. It's totally worth it. |

My little helper.
On these beautiful days we're (finally!) having, I love to sit by a sunny window and work on one of my favorite hobbies -- arts and crafts. While doing so, I am never lacking little helpers. More often than not, it's this little guy stealing my pens and pencils and simply looking ridiculously adorable:
Well, with that out of our system, my furballs and I want to wish everyone a great week!

Queen Rosie
I recently realized that I haven't given a true update on Rosie in quite some time. Well, it's been a little over two months since she had to have her right eye removed, and she's been doing great! There is still some occasional seepage from the incision scar, but it does not appear to be anything concerning. I'll continue to keep an eye on it, and if there are any changes or concerns she'll be visiting the vet.
Now, the lighting was poor and Rosie was not really conducive to sitting still, so please excuse the quality of the photo. But, here's the little old lady in all of her infinite cuteness:
Since having her eye removed, Rosie seems both more content and more active. Of course, she is still 21 years old, arthritic, and suffering from renal disease, so she certainly won't be running any laps, but overall she really is doing well. She likes to tell us humans how it is and likes to watch us keep her bowls satisfactorily full, and she likes to give the kittens the what-for and chase them away from her beloved couch. Go, Rosie!
My furballs and I hope everyone is having a wonderful week thus far!

Late Night TBT
I know it's late, but I haven't totally missed out on Throwback Thursday yet! For this TBT I want to share one of the earliest pictures I have of Evan. This pic was taken when Evan was not much more than eight weeks of age, when he was still being housed and rehabilitated at the clinic where I used to work. It was taken on a somewhat low quality camera phone, so it is small and blurry. Nevertheless, I really love this picture of Evan.
Have a wonderful Friday, bloggers!

Throwback Friday
I love going through old pictures and finding ones I had forgotten about. Today I stumbled upon an old picture of baby Toby that is a prime example of his goofy yet perfectly endearing nature.
I remember the day I took that picture of Toby. I was trying to get him to play with me and give me a cute pose for a picture. His response was to fall to the floor and play possum. The funniest part -- he still does that to this day.
Since I've made this a throwback day, how about this little cutie:
Happy Friday!

Welcome, March!
March is finally here! That means spring weather, right? Well, if waking up to nearly a foot of snow means it's almost spring, then we're right on track!
I hope you've all had a great weekend! How did you start off March?
"Don't worry, Mom, I bet spring's somewhere under all this white stuff. I'll find it!" |
"I'll just keep digging until I find spring under here." |
"I think I'm almost there!" |
