Rewind Tonks Tuesday

The kitties and pup here shared some flashback photos last week. There were a couple past photos I saw in our archives that we didn't get a chance to share but that really just need to be shown again. Just because. These are a couple of those flashback photos.

Does anyone remember this from a couple years ago?

Tonks has a great fondness for paper bags. I'm lucky if I can even get the groceries out of the bags before Tonks claims the bags as hers. One of the first times I brought home groceries in paper bags after adopting Tonks, I learned that the bags' handles have to be removed pretty much as soon as I make it into the house. Otherwise, the calico gets herself into trouble. Today's tip at the end of this post discusses that exact topic.

Happy Tuesday, friends!

Tip of the Day

Today's tip relates to the above flashback photos, and it's probably a tip that you can logically deduce, that you already know, and perhaps even that you've experienced. And what is this tip? It's simply to be aware and cautious of handles on bags when it comes to your kitties and pups. This might be in regard to handles on grocery bags, or even handles on purses, tote bags, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, and other similar carrying cases. As for plastic grocery bags, it's simply best to always keep these out of your furbaby's reach. This is because not only can the handles get caught around a cat or dog's neck or other limb, but the material of the bag can lead to suffocation. When it comes to paper grocery bags, cats often enjoy playing in or on them. If you do allow your kitty or even your pup to play with a paper grocery bag, remove the handles, or at the very least cut them so that they are no longer a full loop that can get caught around a furry little neck or limb. As for other bags, such as purses and the like, if they have handles that might even potentially get caught on a kitty or pup and thereby potentially cause injury, keep these off the floor and out of a furbaby's reach.

The Hubby drops the paper bags on the floor as he's unpacking them, and I scoop them up to pull off the handles, and fold them for their storage spot.
