Our Tip of the Day:
Since we've been on the topic of monthly preventatives lately, we'll give another tip along those lines today. If you have both dogs and cats, or if you have cats that regularly interact with dogs, be cognizant of what type of monthly preventatives the dog or dogs at hand are receiving. Many monthly preventatives intended for dogs contain an ingredient called permethrin in a concentration that can be toxic, and even fatal, to cats. In many cases, these canine medications will be clearly labeled as not intended for cats, but it never hurts to double check ingredients and safety labeling on any and all medications you use for your furbabies. What's more, be sure to never apply any canine preventatives on your cats, and also be cautious if using them near any feline furbabies.
