Tuesday Toesies with a Little Side of Tongue

Pup Astrid has the largest of the furry feet in this house. And as if they aren't already noticeable enough, she is a pro at showing them off.

Of course, it helps that her legs are roughly the length of a giraffe's neck and therefore allow lots of puppy foot show-and-tell at this house. Did you know that Astrid's vet actually told her that she is "all leg". I haven't the foggiest what he was talking about.

On the other end of the spectrum is little lady Thimble. Her paws may be small, but they sure are good at batting stuff around.

These particular little toesies have thrown any number of items off of any and every elevated surface in this house. Pens, pencils, paintbrushes, shopping lists, mail, forks, spoons, crackers, cookies, a banana, an entire glass of tea. You name, Thimble's whapped it.

As wondrous as they are, though, Thimble didn't stop at just bringing her toesies in on this Tuesday post, though...

So there you have it. Some toesies with a little side of tongue.

Have any of our furiends out there been photobombed by own tongue? We sure hope not. Happy Tuesday!

Our Tip of the Day:
It never hurts to try to find ways to recycle unused or unwanted items, and it's even better if you can recycle them for your furbaby's benefit. For example, do you have any old rugs or carpet samples? If so, consider using them as or to make a new scratcher for your kitty. If strategically placed, you can redirect your kitty to use this scratching-specific rug instead of other rugs or furniture. And how about old clothes? Your furbabies would surely love a new blanket or bed made out of their favorite human's clothing. And we all know how handy cardboard is - kitty castles and toy chests can be made out of boxes, and with something as simple as paper stuffed in the ends and holes cut out of the middle, a toilet paper or paper towel roll can be used as treat dispensing toy. And for those savvy in the realm of carpentry, old tables or chairs or any other piece of furniture could always be used to create furbaby playhouses, sleeping spots, or of course a handy dandy cat tree. The options are endless. So, if you strive to be green, never stop thinking of how you can upcycle old items for your furbabies' sake.

Astrid, you are one tall doggie. And those paws are just the best. Thimble, your paws are looking mighty good too. You all have a terrific day.

Astrid and Thimble are both beauties. I love kitty tongue shots. Our cat, Prancie likes to knock things off of tables too- gravity testing? Great tip to upcycle. I made a bunch of dog toys for the shelter using old t-shirts ripped up and braided together.
