Merry Mischief on Mancat Monday

Do remember when Evan and Eddy showed off this image of them enjoying the Christmas tree together?

Well, Evan wanted you all to know that sometimes Eddy causes some merry mischief by that there Christmas tree. She is what you might call a bit possessive of it. Sometimes, she plays whack-a-mole with Evan's head if he gets too interested in her beloved tree. That's when you see an image more like this:

When Eddy's whappy paws come out to play, Evan retreats into is cubby hole. He's not a huge fan of getting slapped in the face.

Do any of you friends of ours ever have to deal with your sibling's whappy paws? Evan thinks it's a real nuisance.

Merry Mancat Monday, friends!

Oh, and can you believe we nearly forgot to announce the winner of our giveaway for the matching blankets and mystery goodies? The winner is Ellen and her kitties over at 15andmeowing!

I guess I was feeling some Tiny Tim vibes when scribbling this one up.

Our Tip of the Day:

Today is another one of our tips on how to travel with your furbaby this holiday season, or any time of the year. When traveling with your furbaby, consider how you will be traveling and what all therefore might be necessary. Are you and your furbaby traveling by car? Plane? Train? For a plane, train, or other public transportation, do your research and understand what all that particular company might require for your furbaby to board and travel. Is a carrier required? If so, how small or big of one? Is a health certificate required, and/or proof of particular vaccinations? Look into all of this and plan well in advance so that all can be squared away before you and your furbaby head out on your travels. Of course, this is all also important to keep in mind when traveling in your own car. Proper, safe restraint is important even in a car, of course. Have secure carriers for kitties and small dogs, or leashes and seat belts for larger dogs. Even in your own car it is also important for your furbaby to be up-to-date on vaccines and other medical care, in case you should be stopped and asked for proof of their health status. So, while it is often possible to travel with your kitty or pup, do of course ensure that you allow proper time to find out what all you will need for safe and legal travels.

Laser ALWAYS whappy paws me. She waits behind the bderoom door in the morning and bops me as I walk out. Or she waits at the top of the stairs and bops me as I get to the top. I've grown thicker fur on my noggin so that it doesn't hurt now.

Have never figured out why some cats whap, while others just sit there and take it! I would whap back, but it doesn't happen. Another feline mystery! Concats to 15andmeowing!

Whappy-paw, we know that ! Smart move, Evan. Purrs

Baggy over here at the Chirpy house is the chief whappy paw smacker! High up on any tree he wants to rule all 7 cat kingdoms. George and Sly Pie would agree with Evan - trying to dodge a whappy paw gets a bit tiresome.

Hooray for Ellen! She and her babies will make great use of the prizes.

Some of mine use the whappy paw on each other, and then the fights start. We are very careful to keep Mikey and Tripod SissyCat away from each other especially, they would start fighting and not stop.

The very definition of 2 or more cats unner one roof is "whappy-paws"! Around here, it is mostly Iza and I. But Marley has been know to play on occasion. He does it softly, though. ~ AYLA

No Whappy paws here - Teddy's an "only" so doesn't have anyone but poor old Mom to whappy with!
