Our Tip of the Day:
Did you know that dogs have the instinct to den? This would perhaps explain the popularity of dog houses, and why our pups are so much more open to going into a crate than most cats. That being said, it can be a very wise decision to crate train your pup. First of all, many dogs simply like having a den, a little cave that is just for them. Some dogs will even enjoy going into their crate on their own, such as for quiet time and a little rest and relaxation. Second, it can be for the dog's own safety to be crate trained, and to always have a crate available for use. Such as in cases of deliveries or home improvements that require open doors, repairmen coming and going, crowds of visitors or parties being hosted at your house, or any other number of potentially dangerous situations, it might very well be in your pup's best interest to be safely crated. For some dogs, such as those with separation anxiety and a resulting tendency to find and/or ingest items throughout the house, being crated whenever their human is away may very well be the safest option. We all need a happy place, and perhaps your pup's would be their crate.

While we didn't enter tongue curling competition, Ruby does consider herself an expert tongue curler.

Ruby has never done well with crates. We tried it at first to help with her separation anxiety, but it just seemed to make her more upset.

Good luck with your tongue curling competition Ruby.

We will go check you out Thimble in the the tongue curling event. Love seeing Evan at his favorite place, right by the door. Great picture.

That is a cute welcoming committee. Good luck in the tongue curling event, I am sure Thimble is going to get a gold. Great tip, most of my cats are good with their carriers because I have to put some in them on holidays. I put most cats in the bedrooms, but I have a couple that would pee on the bed so I have to crate them.

Great welcoming committee! Good luck in the events! Our mom should have entered us but *sigh* she didn't because she was confused or something.

My mom has to crate her beagle when she leaves. The beagle has separation anxiety and would destroy the house otherwise.
