Friday Fun

It's Friday! That not only means we're at the eve of the weekend, but also that it's time for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge, hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader.

Around here, we always look forward to the fun fill-ins. This week was no different.

1. I hope _________ gets renewed for another season.
2. My first crush was _________.
3. _________ usually makes me _________.
4. If I were a superhero, I would be _________.

I really had to think on these. Which is good, because my brain needs all the exercise it can get.

1. I hope Trollhunters gets renewed for another season.
(This is an animated show on Netflix, probably aimed more for kids, but I love it. Then again, most of my favorite movies are animated and aimed at kids. Anyway, I loved the first season of this show, which is about a human kid who suddenly finds himself protecting a hidden world of trolls and the like. Actually, now that I think of it, I believe I recently heard that it already is renewed for a second season. Yay! So, here's me already hoping it gets renewed for a third.)

2. My first crush was the neighbor's dog.
(The neighbors by one of my family's first homes had a giant dog. Though I, sadly, have no memories of it, toddler me apparently loved that dog something fierce. One time I even managed to escape the yard during play time, and when my parents began frantically looking for me, they found me cuddling with the giant dog next door. Luckily, the dog and its people were very friendly, and they didn't mind that some toddler had waddled her way over and started dangling from the dog's neck in an attempt to give it a hug.)

3. Dessert usually makes me crave milk.
(I don't know why I chose this answer. But, it is true. Ever since I was a kid, I've always had to eat my desserts with a cold glass of milk. Cookies, brownies, cake, cupcakes, pudding, candy, even my beloved peanut butter. Sweet and rich treats always result in a glass of milk for me. And for Evan. He loves his milk.)

4. If I were a superhero, I would be the Crazy Cat Lady.
(I'm not the biggest fan of most of the superheroes so popular these days. So, I would want to be something new. And since I have no problem being referred to as a crazy cat lady, as I happily am one, I would quite enjoy turning that into superhero status. In case you hadn't guessed already, as the Crazy Cat Lady, I would want the ability to rescue every cat – and dog! – and find them all forever homes. Or, you know, bring them all home to live with me. That would be the life.)

Now, we'll finish off our week of black and white photos with none other than Eddy. I'm sure no one will be surprised to learn that Eddy doesn't sit still any better for black and white photos than she does for those in color. So, what's black and white and blurry all over? Eddy. The answer is definitely Eddy.

Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Our Tip of the Day:
How about another tip for keeping your furbabies safe in the yard this Spring? We all know how much our kitties and pups love watching Bird TV out the window. That being said, try to be cautious where you put bird feeders in your yard. Bird feces can be potentially dangerous, as it can contain unhealthy bacteria or other microbes that can lead to illness in dogs and cats, such as if inhaled or sometimes if ingested. Bird feeding areas are heavily trafficked and can therefore be laden with bird feces, so try not to place bird feeders directly beside any entrances to and from the yard, or where your furbaby eats, drinks, or plays outside. What's more, you might not want any hungry furbabies feasting on bird, squirrel, or other wildlife feed, as some components of these diets are less than ideal for a dog or cat. So, perhaps consider placing bird feeders in areas of the yard less visited by your pups or kitties, or even consider putting up barriers of some sort around the bird feeding areas. Bird TV can continue, just with a couple precautions!

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I love your first crush, that is so sweet. Trollhunters sounds like a cute show, I may check it out while I still have Netflix. Cookies and milk are very good. Your idea of a super-hero is purrefect. Cute blurry photos of Eddy. And another great tip, birds do carry a lot of diseases. Have a nice weekend! PS: Cute drawing too.

What a cute kitty doodle. :)

I always enjoy the photos of Eddy, too. I have a ton of moving kitty photos, too. Little Bit enjoys my camera a great deal. She loves to nuzzle it while I'm trying to take her picture, which doesn't lead to a very clear picture at all.

I prefer the animated kid's movies, too. My favorite is Hotel Transylvania 2 with the adorable little red-haired baby. Too cute!

How sweet that you were in love with the neighbor's dog. What an adorable sight that must have been to find you cuddled up with the doggy. :)

Have a blessed weekend!

I love animated kid's movies. I do. I have several favourites, one being Monsters Inc. I loved Gay Purr-ee (1962) as a kid and still do. I named a cat Mewzette. Have you seen it? I am a fan of milk, too. Always. I already am the Crazy Critter Lady! HUGS, my friend.

Eddy, Eddy, we thought you'd be perfect for a few artsy black and whites. But no go, huh? Great fill-ins! Thank goodness for big, friendly dogs! Wonderful tip; one we feel better about now that we removed our long-lasting bird feeder. Sure, we miss the visiting birds but honestly, who needs the mess and potential health hazard to visiting cats?

Mudpie would be black, white and blurry too! Some kitties just never stop moving :) Great answers! I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of great Netflix series.

Our oldest daughter is a big dog fan. She could relate to your first crush. She had her younger bother and sister act like dogs. She named them Sniffy and Snippy. Once we were at an event sponsored by the local sheriff. Oldest daughter approached the K-9 unit. The handler warned her to stay back as the dog was aggressive and trained only to attack. This dog was so big he carried railroad ties around in his mouth like normal dogs treat a stick. Daughter ignored the warning and approached the dog. The attack dog rolled over and wanted her to scratch his belly. The handler could not believe it.

Thank you for that tip about bird feces. I did not know that. Love the spring header and today's adorable doodle. I think that is so fun that your first crush was a dog. Finally starting to get better so hope to be able to do more commenting. Hugs, Janet

I don't know how I missed this. I am definitely going to check out Trollhunters. We have Netflix on hold right now and will probably go back to it in the summer and now I have a show to look forward to. Your #2 is so sweet. It would be so great to have superhero powers to cause all homeless and needy animals to be rescued.

LOL! I love the riddle! Eddy, of course! She's so fun.
