Luck o' the Irish

Our doodle for today's Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by none other than Athena, is easy to explain. You see, St. Patrick's Day is coming up, and a certain orange kitty around here has been feeling festive. And so, of course, ginger boy Evan gets his very own St. Paddy's Day art.

We're wishing the luck o' the Irish to all of our furiends!

***
Our Tip of the Day:
Shamrocks may represent good luck, but they're anything but lucky if consumed by a pup or kitty. Especially if consumed in large quantities, shamrocks can lead to symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, weakness, and potentially acute kidney failure. Shamrocks are also known to be toxic to horses. Luckily, shamrocks are often bitter tasting, and so they are not usually all that enticing to furbabies. Nevertheless, especially if your pup or kitty is a grass snacker, or if you have a grazing horse, do be cautious and aware if plants in the clover family are nearby. They're lucky ways can be deceiving!

That is an adoraable picture. Good job. I know you did it free hand too - something we could never do.

Oh Evan, you found the pot of gold. Lucky you and of course you pot of gold is just plain living at that wonderful home that you have there. You all have a great day.

Your drawing is so cute, it would make a perfect St. Patty's Day card. I have a false shamrock plant which is also poisonous and it keeps multiplying. I should just get rid of it because I worry that the cats will eat it even though the dining room is closed off.

What a great drawing of lucky Evan! We wish YOU the luck of the Irish, too, dear friends. :)

And great tip ... we never knew about shamrocks being toxic for pets!

Wow, yet another tip I didn't know. I thought I had a good grip on all the poisonous plants. I usually pull any clover that sneaks into our yard, but I am going to be hyper vigilant now. Evan is a cute little leprechaun. Hugs, Janet and XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

I thought only 4-leaf clovers were lucky. Another great art pic.
