Mancat Monday with a Side of Motivation

It's Mancat Monday, so are you ready for an orange boy?

Evan sure loves his front door, as most of you probably know by now. But, just look at that dirty thing. Evan never understands why his human of a mom so disgustingly slacks on cleaning his beloved door.

Is that a dog boogie stuck on the door? Yuck.

Well, in addition to a mancat gazing out a frighteningly filthy window, we also have what we hope is an inspirational thought for you today. Though Annie of McGuffy's Reader is taking a well-deserved blogging break, we still wish to honor her Sparks blog hop.

With this hop, Annie intended for us to share inspiring, positive thoughts to help brighten this oft negative world. This week, we'd like to share with you this thought:

"Life is like a book that never ends. Chapters close, but not the book itself."
-Marianne Williamson

We hope you all have a magnificent, motivational Monday!

Our Tip of the Day:

We're continuing with our pet parenting hack tips. So, yesterday we mentioned wrapping sisal rope around furniture legs in order to create money-saving scratching posts that also save you extra floor space. That's not the only way furniture can be used to create something special for your kitty, though. We all know that cats love cozy places to relax, including, of course, hammocks. If you yet again want to save money and floor space, you can suspend a hammock from beneath an end table or other similar piece of furniture. You would start with some cloth, which could be securely attached to or tied around the legs of the table. You could use velcro, some safely tied rope, or even just the corners of the cloth to suspend the hammock. In this way, you could create a cheap, easy, space-saving DIY hammock in which your kitty could snooze.

Evan, all of our windows are dirty too; there is no way around it. And the idea of making a hammock as a DIY project just got me thinking of making one for Angel in her upstairs apartment. Think I'll work on that soon!

What an excellent Spark! The mom has always thought of life as a book..with many chapters. Evan, you should see our windows. Talk about dirty!

Unless you can’t see out of it, don’t worry about the window. Love the spark, and the tips!

At least Evan can look out the windows. We're on the fourth floor and the condo association is responsible for cleaning the outsides of our windows. They haven't been cleaned in about 5 years. last tie they did it, they didn't tell us so we didn't take the screens out. We were promised new windows this year but it's looking more like next year.
RE: your tip. TW donates old rugs and pieces of rugs to the shelter so they can glue/nail them to boards to make scratching posts.

so look into all of your options if you wish to! Of course, always make your furbaby's health and happiness your highest priority, and do not create any toys that might put them at risk. read full review
