That's right, pup Astrid had a date with the doctor. She wasn't really all that thrilled about it, in case you can't tell. Even so, Astrid has done a phenomenal job at winning over the doctors and staff at the veterinary clinic. Astrid spent a lot of time with them last autumn, when her toe was removed in order to be rid of a malignant tumor. Back then, one of the vet techs even told me that Astrid was her favorite patient. Well done, Astrid, well done.
Ever since Astrid's malignant tumor scare, her humans here are a tad bit hypervigilant. Every bump and seeming abnormality causes a momentary panic. At the same time, Astrid is a bit, well, clumsy. She has been known to trip over sticks on walks and to misjudge doorways that have been there since, well, forever. That means she does sometimes end up with the occasional self-induced bumps and scrapes. We keep an eye on every single one of them.
Thankfully, Astrid got an A+ at her appointment yesterday! Well, she's slightly above an ideal weight, so maybe more like an A without the +. She also got stabbed a couple of times, but as long as she gets a peanut butter reward, she's all good. I'm that person who walks into the veterinary clinic with a dog in one hand and
We're wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday!

Our Tip of the Day:
Today's pet parenting tip is one that relates to that dreaded vet's office. As you all certainly know, it is recommended that your furbaby be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year. But, if you're anything like me, all throughout the year you find yourself questioning this or that about your furbaby. Of course, if you notice any abnormalities that are a concern or that are in need of immediate attention, do not hesitate to contact your veterinarian. Otherwise, sometimes we find ourselves with questions that we know are not emergencies and that are not truly in need of immediate attention, but that do pique our interest. That's why today's tip is to, if needed, keep a little notebook or note sheet handy, such as on a counter or on the refrigerator, where you can write down questions to ask your veterinarian at your furbaby's next exam. Whether it be a general question about food, exercise, grooming, behavior, or anything else, write it down when you think of it. That way, you can take your notes with you to your furbaby's next exam and sort out any questions you have in one fell swoop.

I kept a notebook for Chuck, and noted everything! When we went to the vet, I typed all of the info into my phone, to read it back to The Hubby later. Right now, fingers crossed, all kitties seem okay, but Angel is 14 and probably should visit the vet every 6 months now. Cute doodle!
Well done, Astrid ! We're glad everything went well and that you got good results at the vet ! Purrs
That's great news, Astrid!
