Mancat Monday Bloopers

Evan is the mancat of the day, of course, and on this Mancat Monday he decided to share some of his recent bloopers. After all, what better way to kick off the week than some photos gone wrong?

Evan hopes these bloopers helped your week start off well! Happy Monday!

Flashback Doodle of the Day

Today's flashback doodle from last year takes us to a bakery. Help yourself to some sugary goodness.

We will be back to our usual doodle schedule, with far more new doodles than flashbacks, pretty soon. I've been resting my hand and wrist due to carpal/cubital tunnel syndrome, and it's really starting to feel much better. So, the new doodles I've been slowly but surely working on will all be ready soon.

Did you know?

Do you know why you so often see cats bathing after eating? Cats are predators, but in part due to their size they are also sometimes prey to certain species. And that is one reason why cats often bathe immediately after eating. Bathing after eating can help a cat remove the scent and remnants of their prey, or meal, from them. This helps ensure that other predators don't smell the cat's prey and thereby prey on the cat who ate it and smells like it. In other words, bathing after eating is often a self preservation tactic employed by cats. This is especially the case for cats out in the wild, but domesticated cats in our homes have largely maintained this instinct.

Evan is a cutie, even in his bloopers. I like the drawing. Interesting information on bathing too. XO

Cats also bathe themselves after being handled by their humans; no doubt, for the same reason of ridding themselves of any smells.
Also, I think some of their bathing is a way to comfort themselves.
