Flashback Doodle of the Day

I actually have a brand new doodle completed and ready to show you, but Blogger has decided I'm not allowed to upload it from my computer. It is letting me share photos already in my Google Drive or Blogger history, though, so for right now I'll share a flashback doodle in the same vein as the new one I want to share. I'll get this Blogger glitch sorted out and this week you'll finally be seeing the series of new doodles I've been working on.

Did you know?

Cats are often described as nocturnal, or being most active during the night hours. Did you know that in some cases, though, cats are actually more crepuscular? Crepuscular animals are active during dawn and dusk. Some cats display more nocturnal behavior, and some display crepuscular behavior. You might notice that some of your domesticated house cats are more crepuscular, sleeping during the day and night and becoming most active around dawn and around dusk. Crepuscular animals might be most active during dawn and dusk for a variety of reasons, such as because this is when daytime predators are less active, prey is still rather easily visible at dawn and dusk, and because dawn and dusk are cooler times of the day in hot environments. Other animals that might display crepuscular behavior are dogs, such as stray dogs, as well as coyotes, bats, deer, chickens, rabbits, and skunks, just to name a few.
