The Howlidays Continue

On this Sixth Day of Christmas, resident pup Astrid wanted to let everybuddy know how she's continuing to celebrate the holiday. Although Astrid, the good girl, is the only furbaby who doesn't torment the Christmas tree, that doesn't mean she doesn't notice it. In fact, Astrid loves to nap by the Christmas tree every night:
As you can see, Astrid is also of course still proudly wearing the festive bow her gammy made for her.

And, of course, one of her other favorite continuations of the Christmas holiday is all of the yummy food! Our house is practically busting at the seams with leftover turkey and noodles and delicious rolls, and cookies and candy and fudge. And Astrid knows it. And, naughty me, sometimes I slip her a nibble or two. (In this regard I'm a pushover, not a role model. Remember these tips: Human food is not dog food, fatty foods like turkey and ham are a recipe for pancreatitis, and chocolate is poisonous to dogs!)

So, Astrid loves the Christmas tree, and the Christmas food, and the plain and simple festive fun of Christmas. But, there is one thing that Astrid has made obvious that she does not like about the holiday. And that would be the Christmas music, most especially when her humans try to sing along. Christmas music is still on constantly at our house, and will be for the entirety of the Twelve Days of Christmas. But, if the radio or the humans get too enthusiastic with the festive tunes, Astrid will quite literally huff off to the back of the house for some peace and quiet. Sorry, Astrid, sometimes we just can't help ourselves!

That being said, I guess Astrid won't appreciate the doggie drawing I created for this Sixth Day of Christmas:
Merry Sixth Day of Christmas! Is anybuddy else out there still enjoying all those festive tunes?

Oh Astrid, I am not a big fan on the music either. Certain humans in our house are tone deaf which makes for some not so pretty music!

Love today's drawing.

Maybe you need some earplugs, Astrid. ;)

Perhaps you can put cotton wool in your ears Astrid.

LOL, Astrid! You are so funny! Sorry for liking the drawing that's poking a little fun. Other than the music, it sounds like you've got it pretty good with all that yummy food and the tree. Your bow is adorable!

Well Astrid, sounds like you are trying to keep up the Christmas theme. But we understand that the music can get a little loud. We love the drawing today. You all have a wonderful day.

Never mind Astrid, all that food will make up for the music.

Astrid, maybe if you howl along with them, it will get them to stop.

Mom could listen to Christmas music 12 months of the year, but now it is just on on her car. We don't care what kind of music she plays as long as she doesn't sing. We'd rather hear fingernails on a blackboard. Enjoy the remainder of the days of Christmas. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Astrid, you should sing along with your family! That would show them. :)

Very cute. I am still listening to Christmas cds. I wish the radio stations would play Christmas music until New Years.
