Caturday Art: Remembering My Angel

I've thought long and hard about what to write for this post, and how to write it. What I've decided is to make it short and sweet, because words can only say so much. Sometimes it's what you feel and not what you say that really matters.

Today marks one year since I had to say goodbye to my dear, sweet, beautiful Rosie. I never knew a better friend than my Rosie. She was my loyal companion and my confidant, and she still is to this day. She was my inspiration, my muse, a role she will always play. Rosie was my angel, even while on this earth, and she will always be my angel.

I love you, Rosie, always and forever.

Our Tip of the Day:
In honor of my Rosie, today's tip will be a reminder to always remember the good times. I don't think I have to tell any of you how hard losing a furbaby is. Despite the pain of loss, though, even after they are gone, please always try to be grateful for the time and love you did get to share with your furbaby. Your are your furbaby's life, and their world revolves around you. And so, after they cross the Rainbow Bridge, I don't think your furbaby would want you to feel pain and suffering at the thought of them. So, although grief is perfectly normal and understandable, please strive to keep alive all of the wonderful, fond memories your angel furbabies gifted you during your time together.

I know what you mean. And that may or may not be what you want to hear. But what I mean is that I know about a special cat that fills your heart even after it is gone. And its not really gone. It stays in your mind and heart forever, there and not there. In the corner of your vision almost but not quite, like it is there but you can't quite see it. And you want to, but you can't.

And every time you read about a loved cat that has gone over The Bridge, you understand because you think about THAT cat and tears drip down your face and you can't type the words you want to say to that other person who lost their loved one because your eyes are all blurry and you can barely see the keyboard.

Like that, yah...

So beautifully done, Lorianne. Your Rosie was a beauty. She also is what I refer to as a heart cat. I have had a couple in my life time. Astrid is currently that heart cat. Sending lots of love on your day of remembrance. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Thinking of you today. We miss them every day, but the anniversary days seem harder to me. I didn't know your Rosie, but she sounds like and looks like --from your art--a beautiful kitty. I believe she is watching over you. (((hugs)))

Your love for Rosie is clear and your pain still lingers, but I agree that remembering her and the wonderful times you shared with her makes life go on.
This is a lovely post ...

Beautiful. I understand how you feel. I still remember my sweet tuxedo cat Suzy. I lost her almost 18 years ago but I know she's still close to me. They never truly leave us.

This is such a beautiful post, Lorianne. We wonder if Rosie and our Moosey are friends at the Rainbow Bridge. Wouldn't that be nice? :)

Beautiful words and art. Nicky has been gone almost a dozen years and TW still cries every time she types his name. I hope he's not minding. She can't even type Angel in front of his name.
