H is for...

Let's begin with some birthday wishes. Whose birthday wishes? Marg's!

Today is the birthday of none other than amazing Marg of Marg's Animals. Marg is the wonderful and loving caretaker of a beautiful family of cats, as well as donkeys Joe and Smoke.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARG!

Be sure to visit Marg and wish her a happy birthday! She deserves it!

Now, the A to Z Challenge continues on!

We are still going with our series of doodles starring my angel Rosie. In this series of doodles, Rosie is going throughout a more or less routine sort of day, doing this and that, A to Z style. So, what's Rosie got going on for the letter H?

H is for...Having a Snack

Throughout this A to Z Challenge, we're also doing our best to share furbaby photos that in some way correlate with angel Rosie's daily alphabetical adventures. We may have to make some stretches and take some liberties, and many of these will be flashback photos that fit in with a particular day's theme. Today, Astrid has a festive flashback starring one of her favorite snacks.

Thanks to our local pet store, Astrid gets a weekly cookie snack. Their selection gets especially fun during the holiday season. To be honest, Astrid doesn't care one bit what the cookie looks like. They just need to keep tasting scrumptious, and she'll be happy to snack away on them. We need to grab a shot of Astrid enjoying one of their Easter cookies, because they're just as cute as the Christmas cookies.

Wishing you all lots of scrumptious snacks today and every day!

Our Tip of the Day:

Many households are inhabited by human snackers, and this sometimes involves having snack foods stashed throughout the house. When it comes to snack foods and how you store them, always keep your furbaby's safety in mind. Fruit bowls, cookie jars, candy dishes, and other means of displaying snacks and making them easy to access can pose a risk to the fubabies in our lives. For example, as you all certainly know, grapes are toxic to kitties and pups, so a fruit bowl sitting out with exposed grapes can pose a risk. The same goes for any dish, bowl, or other display containing cookies, candy, or other potentially hazardous snack foods. Snack food displays should not make it easy for your furbaby to reach human food. In addition, snack food containers on display should have lids that are not easy to remove, or the whole container should simply be removed out of reach when you are not home or able to monitor your kitty or pup. Some cats and dogs are exceedingly curious or persistent, and so keeping snack foods securely tucked away can be very important for their health and safety. Also, of course, be careful when you are eating any snack foods that can be dangerous to a cat or dog. Do not set down a snack or leave it unattended, and do not leave wrappers lying around. Simply always monitor your furbaby around human foods.

Hi Astrid ... Dougie Dog says you're looking mighty pretty today! (He could not think of a complimentary "H" word!)

And how appropriate that the letter today is "H" for happy wishes for our
sweet Marg!

How about grilling zucchini? Chili Bruce stole some off of my plate yesterday, and he growled at Manny while chewing it! Manny was just wondering what was up, and I realized that my careful attention to keeping the cats from stealing my dinner needs to get ratcheted up another notch!

Treats by their definition means good stuff! When I start to think about Bear or Ellie eating junk, I remind myself that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree :)

YAY for "HAVING" a snack. Mom gives me a morning snack every day. I look forward to that like Astrid does to her cookies!

Hugs, Teddy
