Friendly Fill-ins

Today's Friday. Do you know what that means? It means it's time for the Friendly Fill-Ins challenge. If you'd like to participate but missed the fill-in statements yesterday, we'll share them again here. Ellen of 15andmeowing came up with the first two, and I came up with the second two.

1. I never thought I would say this, but _________.

2. I can't believe _________ is _________.

3. _________ is how I deal with stress.

4. Now is the perfect time to _________.

My answers are below in bold.

1. I never thought I would say this, but Tonks hasn't played fetch with me in weeks.
(My little calico used to love to play fetch. We'd play fetch every day. She'd bring me a toy, I'd throw it, she'd bring it back, and rinse, lather, repeat. She hasn't done this in weeks, though, and that makes me sad. I miss our games of fetch. One of the reasons she stopped playing is that her favorite toy and therefore favorite game changed. She now enjoys bringing me these cloth rope toys that we have, and she wants me to wave them around and run with them so that she can chase them. Though I miss our games of fetch, and I hope Tonks picks fetch back up again sometime, I do enjoy her new style of play as well.)

2. I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner.
(Halloween is probably my favorite holiday, but Christmas is a very close second, if not nearly tied for first. I am looking forward to the festive season, but it's also a time of hustle and bustle, at least if you're not careful. I am actually almost done with my Christmas shopping, because I like to plan ahead and hate doing things last-minute. I also simply like not having to worry about Christmas shopping during the actual Christmas season. I'm still feeling the residual Halloween vibes, and we also still have Thanksgiving to celebrate in the US, but I'm almost ready for Christmas.)

3. Cuddling kitties and pups is how I deal with stress.
(When I'm feeling stressed, I don't think anything soothes me more than cuddling my kitties and pup. After a long or hard day at work, I usually find myself curling up on the couch with Evan, Thimble, Tonks, or any other kitty or pup who might want to snuggle. A couple other things that help me deal with stress are drawing, reading, writing, and watching TV or movies. Oh, and chocolate.)

4. Now is the perfect time to shoot for the stars.
(If you put off your efforts to strive for your dreams and goals, you might never find the gumption or discipline to do it. You have to just do it now, to simply try your best and shoot for the stars now. That's what I try to tell myself when it comes to my life's goals and dreams. I'm trying to strive for them now, because there is no better time.)

Eddy has one last series of Halloween shots to share with you! In true Eddy style, these shots are bloopers because her head was in a chronic state of movement. Nothing new there.

These photos star a jack-o'-lantern, Eddy, Eddy's favorite bed, and the basket that contains her beloved Blanket Mountain.

Perhaps Eddy was auditioning for a part in a horror movie in that last one? It sure is scary enough for that.

Eddy hopes you enjoyed these last Halloween bloopers from her! Happy Friday to all!

Flashback Doodle of the Day

I mentioned Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in my fill-ins today, so this seasonally confused doodle from last year seemed like the one to share today.

Tomorrow's doodle will be a brand new one for the Caturday Art Blog Hop, and it will include Halloween as well as Christmas vibes. Because that seems like the thing to do this time of year. Tomorrow will also probably be the last day of our Halloween roundup. Truth be told, though, I still have some spooky doodles planned. Can you believe at least one of my Christmas series of doodles is meant to have spooky vibes? What's wrong with me?

Tip of the Day

Today's pet cancer prevention tip is to steer clear of products with potentially dangerous chemicals, such as certain lawn treatments and detergents. These types of products can be dangerous for a number of reasons, just one being that some of the chemicals in them have been found potentially carcinogenic. This goes for both our furbabies and our human selves. For this reason, always do your research, check ingredients, and when in doubt, simply do not use it. These days, there are lot more products on the market that are made with more natural, less carcinogenic ingredients, so perhaps look into using those such products when needed.

Grand filling in.......Christmas is not far away and I just can't wait. It's been such a stressful time that we intend to let the spirit of Christmas work its' magic on us here at our house!

Great answers. Cuddling a furbaby is the perfect way to feel better. That is too bad Tonks stopped fetching. I have had a few cats that fetched over the years, but seemed to also give it up. Those are great shots of Eddy. And I LOVE the drawing. Have a nice weekend. XO

Great fill-ins. Dad misses my playing catch with tiny mousies but I am getting up there in age. We love Eddy and the Doodle is one of our favorites ever

Shoot for the stars...I so agree!
In a turbulent time, we all reassess our situations, and if it's time to make changes...make them!

Ah, Christmas. We are lucky, sort of, that we only give gifts to the children and all they want is money, so very little shopping.

Eddy is beautiful even when blurry.
