Hello, friends! After a much busier than usual weekend, hence the lack of post yesterday, we're back today. We may be here with a late post again, but we're working on that. That said, would you like a dose of Evan on this Mancat Monday?
We've given many recent tips regarding mosquitoes and how they carry heartworm, and how it's therefore important to take that into account for your furbaby's preventive care. For today, how about we look at this topic in a more natural way? Did you know that there are herbs and plants that are not only safe for your furbaby, but that can also help deter mosquitoes? One of these just so happens to be catnip! That's not all, though. Others that might help repel mosquitoes, and that are also safe for your furbaby, include basil, rosemary, and garden marigolds. A number of other plants and herbs are also said to have natural mosquito repellent abilities, but some of these are toxic to our furbabies, so always proceed with caution. That being said, when it comes to herbs and plants that are safe mosquito repellents, you can try planting or stationing some throughout your yard, especially in areas that you or your furbabies frequent, as well as by entrances to the house. That said, of course keep in mind that this method of repelling mosquitoes is certainly not fail-safe, but we still thought we'd throw it out there.

Glad you were just busy, I was worried when you didn't post yesterday. Nice to see sweet Evan. And I love the drawing, the cat reminds me of my Millie because he used to like girlie things. Excellent tips. XO
Evan, your furs simply glow!
You look gorgeous, Evan!
Evan looks like he could not be happier! Sun puddles are pawsome. I love the drawing. The little white kitty looks quite happy in her mysterious circumstances. Great tips about the catnip! I hadn't thought about that one.
