Wanna party?

Although she usually stars in her weekly Thimble Thursday posts, my little lady by the name of none other than Thimble instead starred in yesterday's Wordless Wednesday post.

Thimble has so graciously given up her sole ownership of Thursday for this week, and she and I both agree there's a good reason why. Instead of starring in today's post, Thimble is more or less hosting today's post. As in, she's hosting a bit of a party.

Want to know the occasion? Well, read on!

Today is September 1st. For essentially as far back as my human memory goes, this date has always been, first and foremost, Rosie's birthday. As most of you know, my sweet Rosie gained her angel wings last May, in 2015, at the age of 21. I remembered and honored her this past weekend for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, which so serendipitously falls right around my dear angel's birthday.

I miss my Rosie more than anything. But, as I mentioned in our weekend posts, the best way I can think to honor her is to remember her not with sadness, but with happiness over the many, many good times we shared. After all, I know my Rosie would not want myself, or any of her loved ones, feeling down at the thought of her.

When Rosie still walked this earth with me, we would celebrate her birthday each and every year with new toys and delicious food and of course lots and lots of cuddles. In my angel's honor, therefore, we are going to celebrate today, and we're going to celebrate in her classy style.

So, despite the fact that she always knew Rosie as the geriatric anti-cat cat with an eardrum-busting war cry, Thimble would like to invite all of you to angel Rosie's birthday bash!

Welcome to the party! Lucky for you, Rosie left us plenty of good tips on how to have a good time.

Because we all know that starting with dessert is the way to, first up is cake and ice cream. (I hope we've left enough for you all...) Mmmmm. Don't forget to the lick the bowl clean afterwards!

And when there's cake, there must also be milk. Dig in! Don't let a single drop go to waste!

Yum, yum. Now, how about some new toys?

Don't forget to always show those new toys who's boss. You may have to go all Wrestle Mania on it!

Or, when in doubt, flash those laser eyes!

Whew. Full belly? All tuckered out? Well, how about sleeping it off? You can settle in for a sun puddle snooze.

Or you can find yourself a nice and soft and quiet place to rest up.

Of course, though, if you're feeling up to it, feel free to dance the night away!

Happy birthday, my sweet angel Rosie!

Thank you to all of our furiends for always being here for Rosie, and for all of us.

We hope you enjoyed angel Rosie's birthday party, and that you learned something from her pro party tips!

Our Tip of the Day:
Toys, treats, special meals, and items such as new beds or cat trees make great gifts for a furbaby on a special occasion such as a birthday. They certainly enjoy these goodies! But, also keep in mind that, for many of our furbabies, one of the best gifts they can receive is undivided attention, extra cuddles, one-on-one time with those wonderful peeps who take care of them every day. At least in part because of our domestication of them, our furbabies are very often social creatures, as is proven by those who love to follow their beloved humans around and crawl into their laps. So, on special occasions, and on any given day, be sure to give your furbaby the gift of your undivided attention. They deserve it!
