Astrid couldn't wear the traveling sunglasses of Phoebe from 15andmeowing. Why? Because this pup has too big of a head!
Now, on to today's drawing for JNW's Halloween Challenge. The prompt is blood. We thought and then thought some more about this one, and ultimately decided that we didn't want to show you guys any real blood here on our blog. And that's even with Astrid's healing yet stubborn foot tumor painting the floor red on its worst days. But, we did come up with this:

Our Tip of the Day:
Paint is just one of the many potential household dangers for your furbaby. Especially depending on the type of paint, ingestion of paint could cause injury to the mouth and intestinal tract, as well as potentially have other toxic effects. There is also the risk that paint fumes could affect your furbaby, such as by causing irritation to the respiratory tract or even to the eyes. If you are preparing to paint at your house, whether in terms of interior decoration or arts and crafts, please be cognizant of the type of paint you are using. Try to find one that is water-based rather than solvent-based, or that is labeled as eco-friendly. It never hurts to do your research when your furbaby's health is in question. What's more, if you are planning extensive, lengthy painting and redecorating in your home, please be sure to select a safe location where your furbaby can stay during such a project. As always, better safe than sorry!

Those are some pretty darn fancy shades, Astrid even if you can't wear them, they are good looking. Love the drawing and glad it was paint and not real blood.

Sorry they didn't fit you Astrid, but you look pretty sitting next to them. That is a cute drawing, we didn't want to go with real blood today either. Excellent tip too, cats are very curious and could easily get into the wrong thing.
Even though the sunglasses wouldn't fit, you look sweet relaxing with them, Astrid.
