Our art for today is more or less inspired by all of the Christmas decorations and commercials and music that have been inundating us since, well, before Halloween. And it's probably not what you think. There are no Santa hats or Christmas trees in this art.
Here's the thing. I love me some Christmas. Really, truly, I love Christmas. There's just something about the magic of Christmas that puts it even above Halloween on the very top of my list of favorite holidays. But, despite my joy at Christmastime, I also think that sometimes the arrival of Christmas is forced on us just a tad too soon.
You see, I always feel bad for Thanksgiving (for the US Thanksgiving, at least, which is sandwiched between Halloween and Christmas). Although Thanksgiving isn't necessarily my favorite holiday, it is certainly a worthy one that deserves its just due. Don't we all have lots to be thankful for? I know my furbabies and I do! That's why we certainly don't want Thanksgiving to feel forgotten and forlorn.
So, long story short, today's art is for you, Thanksgiving.
I know we're all excited for Christmas. But, even so, please don't forget to stop every once in a while and give thanks!
Happy Caturday, everybuddy!

WE do like Thanksgiving too especially with all that good food that is available. And we are so thankful for lots of things. I just love this drawing. It must be so much fun to do these drawings and put those cute looks on the cats and Astrid. That is just great. You all have a great week end.
Beautiful drawing! We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in England and traditionally, turkey is served at Christmas.

O you Furrrballs, u are the cutest!
We love seeing you coming out of that Thanksgiving horn. Thanks for the good, sweet thoughts, too!
Your drawings always make me smile. And I love Evan, Thimble and Eddy as well :)
That is a beautiful drawing- a cornucopia of kitties :) I agree Thanksgiving doesn't get it's due. There are hardly any decorations for the event. I have a few turkeys and I made a mop turkey years ago for the front door, but that is it. Great tip, all we let our cats have is a little turkey and as soon as we put bones in the trash we bring it outside to the receptacle because we have some trash pickers.
We love Thanksgiving - in fact it is our favorite holiday. So Happy Thanksgiving (a little bit early) to you and your loved ones.
That is a lovely drawing for Halloween.
We like Thanksgiving a lot. Its uncomplicated and the only time we get real turkey with real gravy!
I always HATE how right after Labor Day Christmas decorations come out. It's awful. I agree that Thanksgiving means nothing to so many and it SHOULD mean quite a bit. That's the society in which we live I'm afraid. It's a society based on greed. catchatwithcarenandcody
That's a beautiful picture. I must confess though, as soon as Halloween is over (even before!) I'm ready for Christmas ;)
We love Thanksgiving and your festive drawing. Our local stores have showed restraint by not putting out Christmas decor before Halloween.
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the Netherlands, but we celebrate it with all of you in our spirit. Super cute drawing again...makes me hungry ;) Pawkisses for an Easy Sunday :) <3
I love this art, it is so cute!
That's a terrific Thanksgiving drawing. Mom loves Thanksgiving and hates that it gets run over by Christmas, which she also loves. Too bad all three holidays come one after the other. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
