Sunday Selfie Serenity

We won't lie. Our selfies for today's Sunday Selfies blog hop are kind of cheat shots. They're selfies that this here human had to snap on behalf of the participating furbabies. But, we couldn't help ourselves, as we simply had to show off the Sunday serenity at our house.

See? Thimble and Eddy discussed a truce very recently. Eddy has decided to stop hissing and growling at Thimble, as she no longer smells so strongly of that V-E-T place after being there on Thursday. With those nasty smells worn off, Eddy agreed to cease combat.

Ah, we can finally sign the peace treaty. What a relief.

Last time Thimble went to the V-E-T, Eddy was perturbed with her for over a week. This time, it was only 2 days. I can handle that. Anytime any of the other kitties in the house need to make a trip to the stabby place, I'll be sure to use the same method of cleaning them off and wiping them with a blanket containing their pre-vet smells when they get home, to minimize Eddy's reaction.

We hope all of our furiends are having Sundays as serene as ours!

Now, be sure to head on over and visit the Kitties Blue at The Cat on My Head for more selfies!

Our Doodle of the Day:

Care for some iced tea?

***
Our Tip of the Day:
Summer heat can of course be bothersome or even dangerous to our furbabies. If your cat or dog seems sensitive to the heat and is uncomfortable, even when indoors, perhaps consider looking into a cooling products for them to use. For example, there are mats available on the market, which can help your furbaby feel cool when they lie on it. There are even similar cooling vests, such as for dogs to wear when going out on a walk in the heat. Cooling bandanas, collars, and other cooling products are also available on the market. Always be sure, though, that you are selecting one that is indeed pet-friendly, with non-toxic manufacturing. The summer heat can be a real drag, but there are ways that you and your furbaby can beat it!

That is such a cute doodle! Our Paisley gets all hissy whenever Webster has been to the V-E-T, but she usually gets over it quickly.

Oooh sounds like you cracked open that ice tea just in time! Thank goodness you can minimise the disruption to your palace. It must be quite a stressful reminder to Eddy to provoke that reaction.

I am glad these two cuties have come to a truce. I like how the sun seems to be the border between them. Cute drawing, I would love some iced tea :) Excellent tips too, I have seen those cooling vests and think they are a great idea for dogs. Enjoy your Sunday.

So excited that those two have reached a truce. It is so hard when they have little tiffs. Good girl Eddy for being nice to Thimble. All of you have a great Sunday.

Since I'm an only cat, I never have to worry about what kind of smells I bring home. Thanks for sharing that cuz I always think it would be fun to have a brother or sisfur, but maybe I shouldn't be so quick to ask for one. You seem to have it figured out tho.

Anytime one of my chi boys has to go to the vet, they both come along. That way I don't have to worry about vet smells since they'll both have it.

We went to the community yard sale on Saturday and I quickly realized it was a little too warm out for them. We didn't stay long. We were all much more comfortable once we were back home in the comfort of air conditioning.

Even Cooper has decided it is nice to come inside and lie on the cool tile when it gets super hot. Yeah for a truce. That wipe down is always a good idea as well. Thanks for hopping. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

I just lost my comment, so we try again. Good you get along with Thimble now Eddie. I think Vet smells are filled with emotions of other animals too, and that can be very scary. We had a heatwave and it made me feel very sick this time. Pawkisses for a happy week😽❤😻

We are glad you are getting along now. It's a worry for parents when there is conflict.
