Caturday Art

Today's doodle incorporates a lot of random this and that. I was in the mood to doodle my angel Rosie again, but also books and a library, and of course this thing called autumn. So, I just mashed that all into one for this:

Of course, that doodle up there is our entry to Athena's Caturday Art blog hop.

Don't forget to visit Athena to see all of the art our friends have created!

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Our Tip of the Day:

Today's autumn pet safety tip is all about those windows. After all, as the temperatures cool down this autumn, we might find ourselves craving some fresh air. Before opening any windows, though, be sure to inspect screens and take any and all precautions to ensure that no furbabies escape from any open windows. If you have an escape artist, perhaps block their direct access to windows, such as by putting something in front of the window that will prevent them from getting right next to the screen. Also never leave furbabies unattended with an open window, but instead monitor them closely when windows are open. Perhaps this all sounds like extreme measures, but a lost furbaby is a devastating thing, and it is always better to be safe than sorry.

That's not all we have on those windows, though. Also keep in mind the health of your furbabies, and yourself, when windows are open. Does your furbaby, or yourself, have asthma? What about allergies? If your kitty or pup has any such respiratory issues, open windows might not be an ideal thing. Allergens, dust, dirt, and all sorts of debris can enter through the window screen with the aid of the wind. This debris can lead to asthma attacks, itching, scratching, and other potential side effects in furbabies who do have asthma, allergies, or other similar medical issues. So, though open windows can be very enticing when the weather is cool and crisp, never forget to take into consideration all potential side effects.

We love your "mashed up" doodle today - we don't find it mashed at all - it's got lots of interesting touches including the promise of autumn - which we hope to feel today for a change as our temp will be 20 degrees cooler than it has been!

Hugs on Caturday

That is a fun doodle! We try to only open the windows just enough that the cats cannot quite squeeze through as an extra precaution, them put a fan near enough to pull cooler outdoor air even through the small opening. So far, they put their noses down there at the opening to sniff, but know they cannot stick more than their tiny noses through.

Goodness Catness what a nice doodle to welcome in the end of summer with the promise of leaves falling so a kitty can play. We love it and having Rosie sharing a book with her friend before play begins.
We hope someday you make a book of all the wonderful doodles for our Cat Nap Coffee Table

Wonderful art. I know a cat who leaned against a screen and fell out the window. He was fine but his peeps almost had a stroke.

The Hubby has had to nail a few screens into the window frame, which makes him unhappy in the deep autumn when the storm windows need to go on! Having a really old house with old, crumbley wood windows...
