It's still winter. That's probably pretty obvious, since half of the United States was a frozen tundra this week. That being said, I'll be the first to admit that I need to give my doodles a little more variety these days. But, this past week I just couldn't get winter off my mind. Again, that's probably because every time I stepped outside I was given a solid reminder of what season it is. So, yes, we indeed have yet another winter doodle to share with you all today.
I may or may not try to get away from such in-your-face winter doodles this upcoming week. To be honest, sometimes I don't even know what doodle is going to appear in my sketchbook when I sit down to draw. I do know that I'll soon likely do at least a couple doodles for Valentine's Day. This lovey-dovey, heart-infused holiday isn't really my kind of thing, but I do have a couple Valentine doodle ideas nonetheless. For now, though, that up there is yet another winter doodle for you all today. We hope you don't mind.

Our Tip of the Day:
With February being Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, we are giving some tips on this significant topic over the next couple of days. Today, we have a few words on how a kitty or pup's health can benefit from being spayed or neutered. Just to give a couple of examples, spaying a female cat or dog can eliminate the risk of uterine cancer or infection, and can reduce the risk of mammary cancer. For male cats and dogs, neutering can eliminate the concern of testicular cancer and can reduce the risk of diseases of the prostate. Of course, pregnancy itself can be risky, so a spayed cat or dog is also free of unexpected pregnancy and the dangers that come with it. There are a great many other health benefits that can potentially result for having a cat or dog spayed or neutered. Due to their reduced risks of various diseases, spayed or neutered cats and dogs are sometimes more likely to live longer, healthier lives. So, of course, spay and neuter your pets! And, as we mentioned yesterday, also consider assisting with or donating to the neutering efforts of feral colonies, so that these furbabies can also live as healthy of lives as possible.

I went out shopping today because I realized that I had no pretty pink tops to wear for Valentine's Day! I scored a wine-colored pull over sweater, and a girlishly pink sweatshirt just for fun. Or course, one can wear red on VDay, but I just wore my one red sweater for Women's Heart Health Day...cannot keep wearing the same thing!
