X is for...

It would seem that we're nearing the end of April, which means we're also nearing the end of the A to Z Challenge.

As we've probably quite annoyingly told you roughly a gazillion times this month, our alphabetical series of doodles stars my angel Rosie. In this series of doodles, Rosie is going throughout a more or less routine sort of day, doing this and that, A to Z style. So, what's Rosie doing with the letter X? First, let me tell you, I had to make a real stretch to work X into Rosie's day.

X is for...X Marks the Spot

Get it? To make X work, I had to turn it into items X-ed off of her to do list. She sure has been a busy kitty during this A to Z Challenge.

Now, like we've also said roughly a gazillion times this month, throughout this A to Z Challenge, we're also sharing furbaby photos that in some way correlate with angel Rosie's daily alphabetical adventures. To go along with today's A to Z topic of X Marks the Spot, we worked with the second item on Rosie's to do list. Do you see what that says? In line with that, Thimble wanted to show off her skills at knocking anything and everything off of any and every flat surface in the house. She seems to have some sort of quota for how many things need to hit the floor in a day. And not even Thimble's own namesake is safe from her whappy paws!

Thimble vs. the thimble. Guess who won. Thimble. Thimble won, obviously.

Those flashback bloopers of Thimble are also our day-late-and-a-dollar-short contribution to the Pet Photo Fails! Blog Hop, hosted by Melissa and Mudpie of Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries, & Meows. You can blame this here human and her faulty memory for us not participating in this fun hop yesterday.

Of course, our above doodle of Rosie also means we're participating in Athena's always fun Caturday Art Blog Hop.

Happy Caturday!

Our Tip of the Day:

Our A to Z installment for the letter X is all about checking things off of your to do list. To relate this to the furbabies in our lives, and to offer a tip in this realm of things, I'm going to share something that my family used to do for one of my childhood dogs. This pup, a sweet and gentle giant named Shellie, ended up on an armory of medications in her senior years. She took some medications once a day, others twice a day, and yet others three times a day. In order to ensure that none of the 4 people in our family gave her a medication that she had already received, or that a medication was not forgotten, we had a list of all of her daily medications and the times they needed administered. If you gave pup Shellie a medication, you immediately crossed that particular medication administration off of the schedule. This ensured that she never missed a medication, and that she was also never accidentally overdosed on a medication. Today's tip, therefore, is to consider some sort of list or schedule to keep track of your kitty or pup's medications. This might be especially beneficial if your kitty or pup is on multiple medications, if there are multiple animals in the house on medications, and if there are multiple people in the home who need to stay in proper communication regarding said medications.

CUTE! Not sure WHY but neither Angel Sammy nor Teddy were or are interested in shelf-clearing! Maybe that's a good thing?

Hugs, Pam

It's a cat's right, to knock stuff off!
When Chuck needed many medications, The Hubby and I communicated carefully, to make sure we never ran out.

How can anyone live without lists? MOL! I put a line through the task rather than an 'x'. Thimble with a thimble is too cute today. Your tips are good, we had feline flu come through our house several years ago and had to have a list to keep track of med distribution too.

That is an adorable drawing of Angel Rosie. Good job knocking things down Thimble- that is Prancie's specialty and she tutored Joanie in that skill too. Great tips too. I have 6 cats on meds so I should make a list too.

Well, I'm not allowed on the counters here, but mom and dad will occasionally entertain their sorry butts by putting small items like crinkled up gum wrappers on the arm of the chair. When I see that I just can't help myself from batting it to the floor over and over and over.
