Tip of the Day
Mosquitoes have officially started taking up residence in our neighborhood. So, how about a repeat tip on these little buggers? Don't forget that mosquitoes, and other potentially dangerous insects, are not only an issue outside, but they can indeed find ways into your home, such as through open doors or even small cracks. Mosquitoes can carry heartworm, as I'm sure most of you know. So, please do take this into account when considering preventive care for your furbabies. Preventives that cover heartworm are often only able to be obtained at a veterinary office, or by prescription, so please consult your veterinarian about protecting your furbaby against all potential threats such as this. Keep in mind also that, while dogs can be go through an often difficult yet viable treatment for heartworm, there is no heartworm cure for cats. Long story short, please do take heartworm into consideration when it comes to preventive care for your kitty or pup. Their life could depend on it!

We love smores, but yes, when it is not so hot.
Fabulous flashback artwork! Dad says it reminds him of many moons ago when his kids were all little and they used to go camping. Smores was a natural part of their camping trips, and the kids loved 'em.
