Mancat Monday: Evan's Endless Pumpkin Problems

Hello, friends! I didn't realize I didn't schedule today's post. Hence why it's going up way in the afternoon. That is indeed the fault of my silly human self.

That said, today's spooky edition of Mancat Monday is yet again brought to you by naptime.

This couch is Evan's favorite place to nap, and it's also where those two pumpkin pillows live. So, Evan's constantly being stalked by that jack-o'-lantern and cat-o'-lantern. The poor boy never gets a break from them, because they're year round decor at our weird house.

Oh, and don't mind Evan's dirty ears. One of his many medications is a transdermal and so is administered there in the flap of his ear. This was one of the days when Evan wasn't into me cleaning the leftover gunk out of his ears, and so he got to hang onto it for this photo shoot.

I also just now thought to mention, for anyone who wasn't so sure about Evan's hairdo, that this hind limb paralyzed boy gets regular sanitary shaves due to his urinary incontinence. These photos were taken the same day as his most recent grooming session, so you get a good look at his cute little baboon bum in that first photo above.

Evan wishes you all lots of naps today! And he hopes you have far less pumpkin problems than he does.

Tip of the Day

It is not only important to prevent your furbaby's access to dangerous products during the Halloween season, and to know the signs of potential toxicity, but also to know when and where veterinary offices are open in your area. Of course, it is ideal that emergencies be prevented by taking precautions. Sometimes, though, accidents and emergencies do happen. For this reason, it is important that you are aware of the hours and locations of certain veterinary clinics in your area. What time does your regular veterinary clinic close? Are there emergency clinics in the area? If so, when are they open, and where are they located? Planning ahead for potential emergencies may sometimes prove unnecessary, which is a good problem to have. But, in the event of an emergency, such as if your kitty or pup breaks into the candy stash on Halloween, you can save precious time and potentially your furbaby's life by knowing ahead of time where you can take them for veterinary care in an emergency situation. This is important any time of the year, but of course including during holidays such as Halloween, when dangerous products and situations may be more prevalent.

I was getting worried when you didn't have a post today. Cute shots of Evan being pumpkin stalked. Nice drawing and great tips too. XO
