Although every day is Hug Your Cats (and Dog) Day here at our house, my furbabies don't often let me immortalize these moments in photographs. Apparently hugging your mom isn't the cool thing to do these days, let alone photographing it or posting it on your blog.
So, in honor of Hug Your Cat Day, as well as to celebrate the always fun Caturday Art blog hop hosted by the lovely Athena, I drew a kitty hugging moment. Unsurprisingly, Angel Rosie was my muse for this one, just as she is for so many of my other drawings.
Wishing all of our furiends a wonderful Caturday full of happiness and hugs!
Our Tip of the Day:
Always keep in my mind that, although they may not know much of the verbal language we speak, your dogs and cats can read human body language and emotions quite well. Body language is largely how dogs and cats communicate within their own species, and so it's not terribly surprising that it's our human body language rather than our speech that they read off of the most. That being said, always remember that your furbabies will not only read your body language, but can also feed off of it and emulate it. For example, if you're feeling stressed, angry, or afraid, your furbaby will sense this and may very well begin feeling the same way. Your furbabies love and trust you, and so if they read negative energy off of you, they're likely to see significance in this, which can be unhealthy for them (not to mention the fact that it's unhealthy for you!). So, for your furbabies' sake as well as yours, try to always keep a positive attitude.
