Mancat Monday: Let There Be Light

It's Mancat Monday, my boy Evan's favorite day of the week. Today, he's going to show off a skill he has shown off before. But, given that it's one of his favorites, he's happy to show it off again. What, exactly, is this skill he'll be showing off today? Chasing lights, of course!

On bright and sunny days, Evan is always on the lookout for those lights.

 

He'll look high for them...

And he'll search low...

 And, when all else fails, take a bath.

Our Tip of the Day:

Thanks to the many advancements of this day and age, our furbabies are living longer lives. We certainly won't complain about that! But, keep in mind that the longer our furbabies live, the more likely they are to develop some sort of cognitive decline. To help combat this as much as possible, keep your furbabies' minds as well as their bodies active, and start when they're young. You can use maze feeders, which are great because they encourage your furbaby to put their minds and bodies to the test for a food reward. And don't forget to get your furbabies new toys, or rotate through toys they already have, as this is also good for their minds because it keeps them from getting stuck in a rut of familiarity. Also be sure to walk your dogs or take them for car rides, and to new places that will enliven their minds with new experiences. This can also be done for cats who are familiar with being outdoors or going for walks or car rides. Or, our kitties' minds, as well as those of our pups, can certainly benefit from window views. And consider the occasional change in window scenery to give them new experiences, even if simply by relocating bird feeders and so forth.
