Caturday Art: The Queen of Rock and Roll

My contribution to today's always fun Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by our furiend Athena, stems from the fact that my poor little lady Eddy didn't get a post all to herself this week. To make up for that, I promised Eddy that this week's Caturday Art would be just for her.

So, Eddy, how's this?

Care for a little explanation to go with this drawing? Those who frequent my blog might remember some occasions on which I have referred to Eddy's Elvis snarl. I adopted Eddy as a special needs kitten from a local rescue group last July. She came to me with a severe head tilt that sometimes caused her to walk in circles and fall over frequently. She also had very significant right-sided facial nerve paralysis. All of that improved with time, although she still has a mild head tilt and facial nerve paralysis. She certainly doesn't let that get her down, though. Not only does she have a rock star attitude, but thanks to her facial nerve paralysis, Eddy does the most perfect impersonation of the King of Rock and Roll's famous lopsided snarl of a smile.

Do any of our furiends out there do any impersonations of their own?

We want to wish everybuddy a happy Caturday!

Our Tip of the Day:
Did you know that a cat has whiskers not only on its cheeks and brow, but also on its chin and the backs of its front legs? Feline furbabies indeed have whiskers in all of these locations, and it's these amazing sensory tools that help cats so proficiently navigate their environment. That being said, keep this in mind when combing your kitty, giving him or her a chin rub, or in any way potentially stimulating his or her whiskers. Too much stimulation of the whiskers can actually be quite uncomfortable for a kitty, so as tempting as it is to admire those whiskers, try to keep it to a minimum.

Eddy is adorable, that is great art. Good tip about the whiskers, I have noticed those in extra places, but never thought about how it feels to them when being brushed and petted.
