That's right, I shoved that mom of mine off of the computer and took over the blog. Aside from the fact that I run this joint, can you guess why I ousted my mom today?
Hmmm? Can you? It's a special day. Do you know why?
Because it's my birthday!
It's not just my birthday, though. I have to share my special day. Maybe some of our regular readers remember that I came from a litter of 4 kitties (I was, I am, and I always will be the cutest one of the bunch, just FYI). I have 3 blood brothers, and they all stayed in the family.
Do you remember our housemate Toby?
Well, he's one of my brothers, and he owns my auntie (my mom's sister, or so I'm told). Don't Toby and I look so much alike? No? Yeah, I don't know what happened there.
But, one of my brothers does actually look a lot like me.
That's Trapper. He owns my Pawpaw and Gammy (apparently they're my mom's dad and mom, or so I'm told). See how much he and I look alike? Of course, I'm cuter.
And we can't forget Talon.
Like Trapper, Talon also owns my Pawpaw and Gammy. He loves everyone and everything, but he's still not as cute as me.
So, today it's my birthday, and that of those their brothers of mine. Today, we're 3!
But 3 is just a number. Certainly I don't look a day over 2. Right?
Anyway, it being my birthday and all, I'd say it's time to have some fun.
So, feel to join us as we have a birthday bash. Grab a bowl and feast away.
And we have lots of fun and games in store. Should we start with a game of track ball?
Of course, the day would not be complete without some celebratory sun puddles.
Help yourself to some of those rays. I just can't guarantee that you'll be able to look as cute as me as you soak up the sun, though. Sorry.
Anyway, you're all invited to the party!
Our Tip of the Day:
Don't forget that treats and exercise can go hand in hand, even for the kitties in your life. Especially for food-oriented kitties, or those in need of shedding some pounds, try making treat time play time, a time for exercise. For example, does your kitty like to chase things or play fetch? Try tossing or sliding their treats along the floor, so that they can have fun catching them before eating them. You can also incorporate toys in this, such as by having a fun game of chase with their wand toy that ends with them earning some treats. And of course there are also those famous treat-dispensing toys, which can give kitties (and even pups, of course) both physical as well as mental exercise. So don't worry, it's perfectly possible for your kitty to enjoy some occasional treats and be healthy at the same time!
