Boss Man Monday

Being the boss man sure is hard work. Just ask Evan.

Evan has to man that front door of his, make sure he doesn't miss any servings of butter, which of course means following his mom around the kitchen, and that's all on top of keeping his sisters in line, including that silly pup Astrid. Whew! Talk about a handful pawful.

So, it looks like Evan sure knows all about how being the boss man is hard work. And that's why he also knows the importance of a well-earned map.

Zzzzzzzz.

Oh, and can you tell what Evan is snoozing on here? For those of you who have know us a while, you might remember the story of how the furbabies around here inherited this mom of theirs old Barney the Dinosaur sleeping bag. Well, sleeping bag Barney is still around and kicking. And Evan is still very fond of him.

Evan and all of us here wish you a magnificent Monday! Don't forget to have a nice long snooze at least once today!

Our Tip of the Day:
We've given so many tips on this topic, but we're such huge fans of upcycling and cozy things that we're going to repeat ourselves yet again. Never forget that our kitties and pups not only like cozy snoozing spots, but also things that we've used or that smell like us. Before you toss out that piece of clothing or other similar item, therefore, perhaps consider whether your furbaby could get some use out of it. For example, an old pillow case could be used to make them a bed or even a kitty cave. An old shirt could serve this same purpose. You can also put an old T-shirt on a cardboard box to create a kitty cave, with the neck of the shirt serving as the entrance. We even recently saw a tip on stuffing an old pair of your pants so that your furbaby can have a bed nearly as good as your lap. Reusing items in this way can make for a happy furbaby, while also saving you money by sparing the need to go buy factory-made beds and the like. And, of course, such items can also be used to create goods for shelter animals.

I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a kiss on that adorable nose Evan. That is sweet that you have your Mom's old sleeping bag. Great tip, we give the cats are old clothes and when my niece was getting rid of fleece robes, I snatched those up too. :)
