Today, though, we'll of course begin with the Friendly Fill-Ins, hosted by wonderful Ellen of 15andmeowing and Annie of McGuffy's Reader.
This week's fill-ins are wonderfully inspirational.
1. My guiding word for 2018 is _________.
2. A house is not a home without _________.
3. I look forward to _________ this year.
4. I really need to _________, because _________.
And then of course I did my best to fill these in.
1. My guiding word for 2018 is positivity.
(I mentioned last week how I'm chucking negativity out the door. So, a positive attitude in life is how it will be!)
2. A house is not a home without kitties!
(Duh, right? Of course, my house is a home with a pup in it, too. My home has lots of hairballs floating about, but also lots of love.)
3. I look forward to achieving some of my dreams this year.
(I said I was being positive, right? I have some dreams and goals for this year that, with the help of lots of positive thinking and some much needed organization, I plan to achieve and share later this year.)
4. I really need to finish cleaning my house, because it looks like a tornado tore through it.
(I am finally in the process of removing some clutter and unneeded items from my home. In the process, though, I've turned it into a war zone. The kitties are having a grand time turning anything and everything into a jungle gym, but, much to their dismay, I plan to have the house back in functioning order by the end of this weekend. Don't worry, though, the kitties will have a new official jungle gym to enjoy after all of their makeshift jungle gyms are removed. One of their late Christmas gifts is a new cat tree that, once I've finished rearranging everything, will be going by one of the windows in my bedroom.)
All right, who's ready for Eddy? She has a festive shot to share with you all, coming from, of course, the Christmas tree.
My favorite way to decorate a Christmas tree is with white lights and red ribbons. Given that I no longer even attempt to prevent or remove Eddy from the tree (because let's be honest, that was a hopeless endeavor), I have been spending all season trying to get a shot of her in the tree with one of the red ribbons (which she loves to remove from the tree and hide under my bed, by the way). I finally got that shot, even if it isn't all that great of quality.
In case you were wondering, Eddy will actually settle down and snooze in the Christmas tree. Her favorite spot is at nearly the very top of the tree, where there are hardly even enough branches to hold her. She manages to climb all the way up there and drape herself over the branches to snooze. She sure is a pro at that, too, because she has never even once knocked the tree over.
We are again wishing you all a very merry and bright Twelfth Day of Christmas! We'll see you tomorrow with one final festive post to end the Christmas season.

Our Tip of the Day:
Today's tip is of course another winter one. Just as you wouldn't leave your pups or kitties in the car in the heat of summer, please also remember to never leave your pups or kitties in the car in the cold of winter. The inside of a car, as you all surely know, can become incredibly cold without the heat running. It's very much like how the opposite can happen in the summer, when the car can become like an oven. In the winter, though, the inside of a car can be much like a refrigerator or freezer. For this reason, please take your pup or kitty's safety into consideration and never leave them in a car alone. If you need to run errands, leave your furbaby home, or have someone along to sit safely in the car with them. Of course, the same goes for the summer months. As always, it's better to be safe than sorry!

My favorite spot is under da tree!
That is pretty neat that Eddy sits in the tree. Must be comfy. Have a great day.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am sure you can make your dreams come true this year. IO never tire of Christmas so I am loving all these drawings. And Eddy looks so cute in the tree. Phoebe was our only tree climber when she was young and we had a wider tree, now we have a "skinny" tree because it takes up less room :) Excellent tip, I never leave a kitty in the car for even a minute, I am afraid they would get stolen.Have a nice weekend! XO
Oh, I am just in love with this doodle! Sleeping kitties in the Christmas tree, wearing bows! Too, too adorable! We had to clean the house when my mother and brother visited last week; the amount of furballs rolling across the floor was astounding!
Love all your fill-in answers. I need to do some house cleaning too.
I added this post to Feline Friday. Eddy is a good looking cat that is very photogenic.
Have a purrfect day, Eddy. My best to your mom. ♥
Oh, Eddy, you are so adorable up there on your tree! They should leave it up all year round for you.
You're the cutest ornament, Eddy ! Purrs
We love those pictures of Eddy in the tree ... LOVE LOVE LOVE those pictures. She looks so innocent! I can only imagine how unhappy she'll be to lose her tree again.
Eddy, you're the only decoration that tree needs. :)
such a sweetie! Love your photos! What will she think when you remove HER tree?

1. My guiding word for 2018 is kindness.
2. A house is not a home without at least one cat!
3. I look forward to making more art this year.
4. I really need to be more patient, because it’s nicer and healthier.
I love that Eddy sleeps in the tree...too cute! Isn't it funny how in trying to organize and clean a house you just end up making it worse? That happens here a lot too.
You are a Christmas Tree cutie sweet Eddy!
Love the post. Eddy is so cool! I've never seen a cat sleeping in an Xmas tree before.
