Almost Wordless Wednesday

Our Doodle of the Day:

This is one of those doodles that, a couple of years ago, I would have scrapped and started over. I used to be a major perfectionist. Actually, I still am, unfortunately, a bit of a perfectionist. After all, it kind of really bugs me how tilted this drawing ended up. Was I standing on my head while scribbling it up? Is that why the pup and the window look like they belong in the Leaning Tower of Pisa?

Anyway, over time, I realized that being a perfectionist was going to get me nowhere. It was only going to prompt me to waste lots of time redoing things for reasons that wouldn't matter to anyone else. So, shoving that perfectionist back under the bed, I am sharing this doodle with you all today, despite the fact that I could point out so many things that are wrong with it. I hope you like it, despite its faults!

Our Tip of the Day:

We're still making our way through our tips on litter boxes. Today's tip is a quick and simple one, and it's to use the times you scoop and clean the litter box wisely. In other words, use your litter scooping time to be observant of your kitty's urine and feces. Are there any changes to the urine or stool volume or frequency? Is it a different color? Is there blood or mucus in it? Is the stool especially hard, or especially soft or runny? What about the odor? Excrement never smells particularly nice, but is there any new change in its smell? Try to always be observant of these types of things when you're scooping your cat's litter box. After all, some diseases will have symptoms that show up in the litter box, and so it is indeed important to make sure you are regularly checking to make sure all is well in that box. Of course, if you do notice anything concerning while scooping the litter box, do not hesitate to make a call to your veterinarian.

Ahhhh...nothing like looking out a window and knowing you're SAFE and COMFY inside!

We think that doodle is terrific and we sure didn't see any tilting going on there. We would never have known. Astrid, you are looking mighty good. Have a great day.

Perfection is for the birds; real life ain't perfect!
Funny you mention the daily scan of the litter box; I will relay info that I'm observed to The Hubby, who is less than thrilled to be talking peeballs and pooplogs. But, he remembers how we diagnosed Chuck's bladder problem by the litter box evidence, and got him to the vet pronto!

I like the doodle, and the picture. Best quote ever on perfectionism: "Anything worth doing, is worth doing poorly." It makes sense, if you think about it. Best

Cute photo of Astrid in her favorite pose. I like the drawing and didn't even notice any imperfection until you pointed it out. As long as you always give something your best effort, there is no need to worry about perfection. Great tips too.
